Solved

Bought through steam, no product code.

I purchase the game through steam, downloaded, and tried to launch. I had to download the Origin App, then when I click on the game, it took me to an "Unidentified Game" screen where I had to enter a product code. I did not receive one from steam.

I went on the help for Steam, was sent here.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • @Csuklyas It is my understanding that when you first lunch the game on Steam, it should ask for your Origin info to link it together. Thus it doesn't give you a code but instead links the two systems to launch the game.

I bought the game on Origin, so I am not sure if this would work for you: Right click on the game on Steam. Under the manage tab, there might be a cd key there. Assuming they added it for that game.

  • Have you found a solution for this yet? I got the game just recently on steam and I can't play as well.

    Thank you for the reply.

I bought the game on Steam. Installed. When started the first time it automatically installed Origin (I got an Origin acc, just Origin wasnt installed on my PC at that time). I signed in to Origin. Now the game tried to start automatically, and a window popped up. It said I have to activate the game on Origin. To do so i must enter the Serial number. And Here I stuck, there is no serial. Steam doesnt provide a serial number for Dragon Age: Inquisition. There was nothing about linking accounts.

I think I found a solution tho. Download a cracked version, and play with that! :D

But instead, I asked for refund on Steam. Got rid of this game, and got back my money. End of story. EA is sh#t.

  • You only need to download origins and make an origin account after that you don't need to do anything else with it simply go into your steam account go to your library Right-click your game go to 'Properties' then 'Local File' then click 'Verify integrity of game files' click it let it run then just launch the game don't even worry about the whole CD Key things its completely unnecessary
