Dragon Age II not launching either through Steam or the EA app
So... I recently bought DA2 with all the DLCs on steam. The Timeline of the problem At first it launched just fine and after adjusting the video settings (1080 resolution and fullscreen), I could play the game with no problems. However the second time I wanted to play it took a couple of tries because it apparently couldn't work in fullscreen (even though when I switched to fullscreen in-game it worked just fine). Then the third time it wouldn't launch no matter what I did: Steam briefly says that the game is executing, an empty EA splash screen appears and then closes, and then the game on steam no longer is executing so it just says 'play' again. I have also noticed just recently that the DLCs are missing for unknown reasons despite them being installed in the game. A couple fixes I have tried tried to run the game as administrator from DragonAgeII.exe. No luck. tried the solution in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1fI4m3q5Fk (it essentially entails switching the EA app to run as admin, clearing EA app's cache files and changing the clock settings) to fix the EA app. This didn't work in and of itself, but... I tried going to the DragonAge2Config.exe to change the video settings and disabled the fullscreen. This coupled with the above fix seemed to have partially solved the problem and I could launch the game through the EA app (not steam) after two tries. However, it resulted to be only a temporary solution and now I still have the same problem that I described. Some additional info My PC supports DirectX11 and switching to DirectX9 in the game has solved nothing. Conclusion I find myself unsure how I should proceed, so I am hoping you guys encountered a similar problem and fixed it or have the knowledge how to fix it.5.9KViews0likes4CommentsDragon Age Origins problem

I have owned Dragon Age Origins for years and after having Gamepass for a few months I can no longer access the game. I couldn't open it when it was installed, was advised to uninstall it by EA Help, this didn't fix it and the EA app now thinks I don't own the game. But the game is in my Library. I don't even have a purchase option in the EA Store because you can't buy games that are already on your account! Please fix this ASAP so I can access a game that I own. Hi, I have progressed to What Pride Had Wrought. I have solved the puzzles in the temple, and the door has opened to the Petioner Hall. Once I enter the Hall and advance to the 'spot', the cinematic will not start with the temple elves.Solvedmackinnon19578 days agoSeasoned Newcomer50Views0likes4CommentsDid not receive Victory chest for weekend event
Hi, I participated in the multiplayer weekend event: http://www.dragonage.com/en_US/news/multiplayer-weekend-event-01-23 I played enough to unlock the Commendation from the first part of the event (loot 25 chests in a part) and recieved the achievement for the Victory chest portion of the event (Community loots 250,000 chests) I logged in today to claim the Victory chest but did not have one and the completed challenges have both dissapeared from the 'Prestige' section of the multiplayer. I contacted customer support via live chat who after consulting a specialist avised me that because it is a studio even I would have to post my issue here to get it resolved. I'm not that fussed about the missing challenges in the prestige section but having taken the time to participate in the event I would really like to get the missing Victory chest. In the Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer Challenge for this weekend, we are tracking both personal and community progress. There are rewards for both, unfortunately the delivery of these rewards might be delayed until Monday. So if the challenge updates as complete for you, but you don't see a reward right away, please hang tight. Thank you for your patience.SolvedEA_Nils11 days agoCommunity Admin4.6KViews13likes3CommentsDragon Age:Origins keeps crashing.
When I try to leave Lothering to engage the bandits north of town, the game keeps crashing as the battle starts. Sometimes I get an error message, sometimes it just crashes. I've seen posts about downloading third-party software to fix an issue with too little available RAM on modern PCs, but I'm hesitant to try unauthorized add-ons. Is this the only fix, or is there another viable option?QuentonWolf15 days agoRising Novice112Views0likes11Comments[PC] EA overlay not working for specific titles
So, ever since EA decided to stop supporting Origin, I have lost my way of managing game invites for both Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect 3. Tried reinstalling the game, but that didn't do anything. Funny thing is this. The overlay works fine in ANY other EA title. And that has been the problem ever since the EA app betas.THE_Crazy_Hyena17 days agoSeasoned Scout21Views0likes1CommentCan't launch Dragon Age 2

I have been dealing with this disaster for a week now. I just got a new gaming laptop and installed the EA app to play my games on it. Dragon Age: Inquisition will NOT load. When I let the process sit for 5-10 minutes, this window pops up: My only option is to exit. As you can see, there is no log-in option here. There never is. If I don't wait for this to pop up, I have to force-quit the DAI process (which does load), then end the ActivationUI process (which is the crux of the issue) in order to even close the EA App. I've been searching all over the internet (these forums, general searches, YouTube), and I have tried every single "fix" that I found. None of them have worked. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, deleted folders and licenses, I've copied and pasted .dll files from one folder to another, I've forced specific DNS, I've prayed to the Cheese Wheel gods, and NOTHING IS WORKING. (And I do not have any Razer products, so that isn't it.) I've played this game for over a thousand hours between my gaming PC, and XBox, and this issue has never come up before. What's most discouraging is that I've seen this issue pop up many, many times with no solutions, even since the year the game was released! What is going on here? Why is there no fix for this? I am so beyond frustrated. Has anyone been able to figure this out or bypass the ActivationUI altogether???ri_paige_voice21 days agoNew Rookie112Views0likes5CommentsDragon age inquisition

It worked 2 days ago when I reinstalled it after not playing for a year but now Dragon age 2 refuses to launch, whenever I try to launch the game via steam, the ea app, or directly with the .exe it just opens up the ea app and then closes again, and nothing happens. It's on Directx 9, not Directx 11 so it's not that, it's set to run as administrator so it's not that either, it's in compatibility mode so it's also not that. When I try to troubleshoot it says there's a ''missing'' required file, ssleay32.dll, but that's not true as it IS there. I have done everything people have said to do and it still doesn't work.Solved4.4KViews0likes15CommentsDragon Age Multiplayer lag
So, I made a few forum posts where I talked about issues with the game, and didn't reply. Sorry about that. I was both busy, and the issues in question were manageable or didn't happen a lot. Now I have a new problem, though. I understand that this is an old game, and it's full of bugs and lag. Lag off host is a common problem in many games and it's pretty hard to fix. There's going to be some lag, no biggy. The issue is though, today I joined a game hosted by someone from Ukraine. Actually, it was three games, I think. The second game, my computer randomly turned off (another problem I mentioned having earlier). I was invited back, and the lag was unbearable, both for the rest of that game, and for the next one. I had to leave. The problem is, my entire game now is just as laggy as when I joined that guy's game, even when I host my own games or I'm just in the menu, changing my equipment. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game didn't fix it. Neither did closing my computer.Mistermovieman22 days agoRising Adventurer43Views0likes1CommentDragon Age 2 won't boot up.
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but I've been playing DA 2 for 20 hours total so far and the game was running pretty well, then all of a sudden during a cutscene the game crashes on me. I've tried to boot the game back up but it gives me the same response of "the game won't launch, there's an issue on our end that won't let the game launch". I've tried nearly everything, from uninstalling and reinstalling the game, to restarting the EA app, to repairing the files itself and I'm getting no luck. I've contacted support and they've said they'll report this to the team but I want to know if there's anyone else who's suffering the same issues and if they managed to find a way to fix this.GreyWarden2223 days agoNew Novice187Views1like9CommentsProblems launching Dragon Age Inquisition on Steam
Same. I've been able to play Inquisition through Steam for the past week or so with little issue and then all of a sudden earlier today, it just completely shuts down the game whenever I press "Continue" from the main menu. When I checked the EA App, it told me that there was a problem with the app itself and I've tried almost everything short of uninstalling the game.Xalthium24 days agoSeasoned Newcomer115Views0likes5Comments[Keep] Oops and Error has occurred error on login
Hi, First sorry for my English, I can't edit, import or do anything with the Dragon Age Keep, I've already tried what I've found online (Tried another browser, deleting the cache, disabling addon in the browser, removing files in "temp") Nothing is working, but it is working with another account. For all the Dragon Age, I've played with mod, so maybe that's why it's not working.. And I think I've tried everything, so any help would be appreciate 🙂 Thanks !wyltswm25 days agoRising Novice718Views0likes9CommentsEA Launcher canceling DA Game Launch
I was playing Dragon Age II when the game crashed. At, first I wasn’t too bothered as old games crash all the time, but now I’m concerned as the EA launcher won’t let the steam game launch initialize. I keep getting the error message that says “there seems to be a problem on our end” (EA Launch app) without specifying said problem. Now I’m just frustrated because I would like to play DA2 but I can’t even get into the game because of the launcher issues.SolvedIcarusTheKid_X29 days agoRising Newcomer179Views1like9Comments
