Bug in Crestwood "Speak to Crestwood's Mayor"

I am having a problem in Crestwood with the 'speak to crestwood's mayor" re. where the rift is. Every time I speak to him it does not clear the task and even after I closed the rift and returned its still asking the same initial question of where the rift is each time.

Is this a bug?

It sounds like a something has failed to trigger alright. Did you uncover the secret at the dam yet? I think you should have if the rift is closed, and this causes the mayor to disappear.

If you're not too far ahead, can you try loading a game from before meeting the mayor? That might be too much of a jump back for you though.

I have a similar but different problem. I cleared out the undead in the village, went to the rift to go find the mayor .. and he just doesn'ts how up. The marker telling me where to go to the mayor is either on top of or inside a cliff. The nearby mine tunnel leads to a door that says: "This door cannot be opened from this side."

Capture the mayor by sending agent on war table.
