Can I play Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition (PC) without CD inserted?

Hello, I bought Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, physical CD version, not downloaded. Installed the game. It run (installation and the game) without problems. I play the Game with CD inserted....

No need to contact anyone.

Just log-on to EA/Origin using the same account you used to register the game,

then choose "Origin -> Redeem product code" from the top-line menu.

Enter your product code/CD-key and download/install.

Voilá! DAO without needing the disc.

Now it got completely clear. Understood. Thank you for your responsible attitude and replying again. I respect that.

Problem solved.

But to EA: why sell CDs if we have to download the same thing again. Not neat.

Yeah, a lot of us have puzzled over why there's not an easy way to tell EA/Origin that you have the disc(s) so that it validates the game in your on-line Library, but copies the files from the disc (applying any updates it knows about.) I do know one problem potential is that the disc version of the installer establishes a slightly different folder structure than the EA/Origin download. Although why that should be the case I have no idea!

(I'm told there's a way to "fool" the download installer by starting the process then interrupting it and switching to the discs for the actual files. But I've only heard about people doing it, never tried it myself.)
