Can't change graphic or resolution settings in DAI after reinstallation
After I upgraded my graphics card and reinstalled my drivers, I wasn't satisfied with the fps I was getting in DAI. After trying several things I reinstalled the game through origins I noticed a huge increase in fps, but then notice massive texture pop ins with little to no draw distance and the character's hair is now shiny and face textures are muddle. I assume my graphic quality was forcablly decrease despite setting them to near max, and for some reason now I can't even change my in game resolution. It's like what happened before or after patch 2. I restalled/ repaired games on origins before, so I'm baffled now that I'm having this problem. Please help.
The shiny hair is still in the game when shader quality is set to low. The patch you refer to separated shader quality from mesh quality (they were bundled together), and one patch once messed up the game so shader quality was always set to low, but that's fixed now.
After you change any graphics settings in-game, you should check if the config file has actually been updated by looking at the time stamp. This file is called 'ProfileOptions_profile' and is located in the save folder (Documents - BioWare - Dragon Age Inquisition - Save). If the file hasn't been updated, you have to check if your save folder isn't set to 'read only', in which case your game settings can't be saved from within the game. You may also want to try editing the config file manually by changing some settings in text file and see if this has any effect on the game.
