Can't trigger Solas cut scenes?

I'm having the same issue. I've done both Here Lies the Abyss and Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, and I'm getting nothing from him beyond the default dialogue. He's disapproved of a few things I've done - but so have other companions I do get cut scenes for.

It's especially disappointing because I'm playing a female elf and had planned on that being my ship.

And I am on a PC.

Here are the cutscenes that you should be able to get whether or not you're in a relationship with him:

• Cutscene at Haven (first one)
• Cutscene at Skyhold, reliant on high approval (choose the star option when speaking to him/asking to know more about him)
• Companion quest cutscene, requires first Skyhold cutscene and high approval
• Another cutscene at Skyhold, requires companion quest completed and high approval
• One cutscene after What Pride Had Wrought

I think that's it. If you're in a romance with him you can potentially get two more cutscenes.

The easiest ways to get his approval up are to ask him questions and take him along when you help others/to activate elven artifacts. 

Yeah, I'm guessing it's an approval problem. The issue is I've asked him all the questions I can several times and it does nothing -- I just get the same repeated dialogue. The elven artifacts haven't resolved the problem. Something I did must have made him really, really hate me.

And I'm doing What Pride Had Wrought now, so I may just have to call his friendship lost for this playthrough, which makes me sad.

Depending on what you do during that quest, you might actually be able to get his approval up to the point where he likes you! But it would be too late for a romance, sorry. ☹️ You might still be able to get his personal quest, though...?

Out of curiosity, when you speak to him, are there extra options for complaining to him about abandoning the elves/being obsessed with the Fade? That's probably the easiest way to tell that he doesn't like you, other than the way he addresses you when you speak to him.

I've started thinking its a bug, at exactly the same point where you realized it. I was shocked that he was the ONLY character who has absolutely nothing to say about that last main quest, since it seemed really relevent to his interests. 

I've had more cutscenes, but very little dialogue. I went back and looked, and it seems as though his inner circle quests are not registered as complete, even though I did the first two of them (can't trigger the third). 

And for me, it definitely isn't an approval problem. 

I can't seem to start any personal mission for Solas or Iron Bull. I never had a cut scene with Solas after getting to Skyhold. I had a cut scene with Iron Bull back at Haven when I drank with him and hung out with the soilders and one at Skyhold when he wanted me to hit him with a stick, but never leaving the camp mission.

I'm also having issues. I completed "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts" went to the Temple, came back and talked to Solas but there wasn't any options to continue it on to a romance. I'm not *knowingly* romancing anyone else. If I go talk to Bull or Cullen they say that I'm in a relationship already. I've gotten the **minor SPOILERS** fade dream sequence, balcony sequence, and I've completed his personal quest. **End spoliers** My only dialog option now with almost full completion is to ask about Corypheus.

It's pretty upsetting since I don't have any close saves to fall back on...just one save 30 hours back but it doesn't gaurentee I won't run into the same problems if I replay through from there.

I'm worried that my only option will be to replay the entire game as another elf to be able to get the romance option back (rip other romances </3). Just hoping to get word on this or at least find out if it won't matter in future games. (I'd be pretty sad if I didn't have options in the future relating to this romance even though I'd tried to pursue this romance)

I, too, cannot get the Solas romace to trigger. (spoilers) I haven't even got the Fade-Haven cutscene. (end spoilers)\

Maybe it has to do with my female elf mage having mildly flirted with Cullen & Blackwall back at Haven? All I know is that the only thing I can talk to Solas about at Skyhold is Corypheus. Seriously, I'm about ready to just go for Blackwall...

I'm having the same problem and it infuriates me. I have had zero cutscenes with Solas since arriving at skyhold, heck I don't even have any new dialogue options. I'm a female elf trying to romance him but he's being ridiculous! He greets me as "My friend." and I know I have a high approval rating so what's the problem? Not elfy enough? 

I just realised just before the temple of mythal that for some reason im missing all the dialogue options from solas. Im romancing him so i dont know if this is whats started the bug, but he didnt have any dialogue options since second kiss. after that its just been tell me about cory. There was no reaction to any of the quests, none of the wardens flip out he has, nothing about you becoming knight enchanter , nothing at all.. im worried now to carry on incase it messes up and i never get the last scene to lock in the romance ☹️ is it a known bug or was i so unlucky i managed to bug it lol
