DA: Inquisition world save and linking Origins to XBOX Gamertag

Hi,

Im unable to use my world state I created in DA Keep for DA: Inquisition as my Origin account and my Xbox Gamertag wont link? I have tried on numerous occasions and keep getting the same result which appears in the form of an error message that reads:-

"UNABLE TO LINK ACCOUNTS"

 "Oops…that account has already been linked to a different Origin ID. To review your linked accounts, select Account and Privacy from the Origin menu."

This makes no sense as this is the first time I've attempted to link the account with my gamertag?

If you could kindly get back to me on the issue asap I'd be very grateful as I've not had the game long and am dying to play it.
