My wife had this issue. She has at 750TI. Setting the graphics to medium fixed it which sucks but its playable. I am running a 970 and do not have this problem. You can try lowering your graphics settings as a temp fix. I think I read its a known issue with some nvidia cards and they are working on a fix. Considering how long it is taking them to fix the MP key drop issue though I wouldn't hold out for a quick fix.

I'm running a good AMD card, could run BF4 in ultra. Same problem. it crashes somewhere in between 5 min and 2 hours of game time. Even on lowest settings as you suggest. But did I pay 60 euro's to play a very good game on lowest settings, not getting the full adventure, restarting on an average of once per hour and no support, no intrest from EA whatsoever? Today I had the afternoon off, six restarts, and a lot of re-re-re-do's. I can tell you, it's not motivating.

The OP had an older, slower video card. A 9600 GT was related to the 8800 GS, a medium performance down-rated 8800 card, much slower than the rest of the 8800s. BF4 is a year older, and uses a less demanding (on CPUs, particularly) version of Frostbite. You need your own separate personal message thread, since the OP's problem won't really be solved without a physical swap to a better GPU. At present, we have no data on your CPU, GPU, drivers, OS, etc.
