    For DX errors generally with Frostbite engine (EA Rick's post in BF4 section):

    Control panel -> Time, Language and Region -> Region -> Administrative tab

    Change Language for non-Unicode programs To English(US)

    If that won't solve "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" error, try with switching PhysX to CPU in the nvidia control panel (restart your PC after you change that).

I tried to switch physx to cpu and I was finally able to get to the menu screen. I ran a benchmark and the game crashed again so now i can't play anymore.

    Well I've tried about everything I could find. I even found on some BF4 forums (where this error popped it before?) that factory overclocked cards needed to be set back to base clock. Unfortunately, my 650 Ti Boost runs at 1175 by default, its base clock is 980, its boost clock is 1033, and EVGA Precision actually doesn't even let me drop it lower than -105 so I can't even drop it down to the "Boost" speed.  

    I've reinstalled .NET framework, I've repaired the game, I've deleted Origin hidden folders, I've reinstalled DirectX (including from the DA:I installation path), updated drivers (I've actually been thinking of going back to old drivers to try, but DA:I actually won't start on anything older than Nvidia 3.4., tried command-line arguments, disabled Origin, and lowered my settings and I still get the same DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error. 

    I'm not giving up quite yet, but this is very frustrating that this is a high-profile game that can't work on a number of systems, let alone that an error like this wasn't found or solved in testing. I have bad feelings regarding this error as well, given that it's never been officially solved in the other Frostbite Engine game, Battlefield 4 and for all we know, with that being the link between the two, is the engine at issue? Is this even fixable?
