Can you try whitelisting Origin in your firewall and anti-virus, and run it as admin.

How do you run a game as an Admin?

I have the same problem. I'm running Origin as an Administrator and the download always says 50%. Origin shows that the game is up to date.

  This is for anyone googling this because they're upset about they're game.
  
  Try repairing it. I did it for The Sims 4 and it just went away.
  
  Right click on the game, select repair. 🙂

    so i have a mac and you can repair the file by right clicking it. ive uninstalled both game and origin. nothing prevailed. theres not even a percentage with origins so called download in progess
