This is the error I get when I start the game after the launcher:
"Unhandled exception at 0x070121D8 (nvwgf2um.dll) in DragonAge2.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000004."
This problem just started. But I haven't played the game in a quite awhile. So the error could be anything. I'm not sure on how to handle this because I googled the answer and their was no information.
Thanks for your help and time!!!
Oh. I tried running as admin as well. Same problem.
The nVidia GeForce 9800 GT is a DX10 card. It is not capable of executing DX11 instructions. If you make it try, the game will freeze/stutter/crash.
Yes, Win7 and Win8 (and even Vista, with an add-in) support DX11. And yes, DA2 supports DX11. But if your hardware doesn't, don't try it!
