Dragon Age: Inqusition (Single player character did not have a normal startup)

Ok, maybe someone here at EA Games fourms can help me try to figure this wild and weird thing that happened when I created a character.

The game is Dragon Age: Inquisition​

I am New to this game, so I have been experimenting on classes and races yada yada. I so want to try to get back to this weird place it put me. It was neat.

This is my only descriptive explanation I can give, so I am going by memory.

I had created a Mage for the first time in this game. Prior to this I was experimenting on the Rogues, and Warriors. Just getting a feel for the classes. One day I corrupted my Windows 7 system doing something else not game related, so being the "Computer Tech Chick" I just decided to reformat the hard drive and reinstalled the OS and the Game. So this would also sort of be a first run of the game (Per-say) on that system from a fresh system format and install.

Now usually before this fresh installed game, when I started any other class like the Rogue or Warrior, I am starting in the dungeon jail cell with handcuffs on and being interrogated AS NORMAL. Not this time, when I created the Mage, and knowing I had this intro to watch, I left the room for a moment to get a drink. I come back and I am not in the normal Dungeon jail cell that it puts you in when you usually create a character. This startled me; I was like WOW, new introduction patch. So I thought.

I do not know where it put me, but I am in this other weird area that I can freely roam around. I start off on top of what appears to be a hill. Ominous sounding music can be heard and it is somewhat dark outside. There is fog everywhere on the ground and this weird greenish fog haze in some places. There are some ponds surrounding the hill. I do not see any creatures to fight or anything to pickup. I have no commands except my first spell I think it is a fireball (if that is what it is called). I roam around but not far from the hill, I can see nothing that tells me or shows me what or where to go. In the distance I can see a large portal you usually see in the game to the south if I remember correctly but this one is bigger. I do not know how I ended up in this place though. Before I explored any further, I wanted to save this so I could return because I had cranked up my graphics to the highest setting possible and it was somewhat slow moving around, also a little choppy and it was choking my computer a little.

I opened the command window but the save feature was locked; so I just quit thinking I could just reproduce the exact steps I did for creating my Mage in the first place. So I set my graphics back to the automatic settings, and recreated the Mage in the same exact way I did before. This time it put me in the normal starting Dungeon Cell. So I tried it again, same thing. I tried this a total of 4 times and same thing. This puzzled me as to what did I do or how did I get to that area. I cannot describe this any other way.

If ANYONE knows how or what I did to get to that unknown place please tell me how to reproduce it, I wanted to explore that. The only explanation I can even come close to being logical as to why it put me there and not in the jail cell is it was some sort of tutorial for the mage. But I do not know. Any help here would be great...

Also this installation of the game I decided to install all the free add-ons that I saw available as well as the one expansion that I bought when I bought the game it was Jaws of Hakkon DLC. Prior to this, my last load before I corrupted my system I only had Jaws of Hakkon DLC installed and not the free add-ons. Hope this helps.
