Dragon Age Keep not accepting my choices as valid

I just tested it and got the exact same thing. I'm trying to remember if there's any reason why you can't complete the ritual if Alistair is not in the party, but I did select a human male warden in my world state, so I think it definitely should be possible.
Edit: I think I have a possible answer. The Keep is very specific about the order in which you select your choices whenever a choice relies on more than two variables. Did you already set Loghain's status as "alive and well"? Because when I did that, the "dark ritual" and "Alistair is a drunk" tiles became compatible. (Edit: Fixed typo)
