Game crashes on launch
Hi, I am not technical gifted so i do not really know anything about PC's. When I first bought the game a few years ago it worked perfectly. However I have been attempting to get the game working fo...
Ok here it is
You say it doesn't work....well, what exactly does that mean? Does it run slow, start up black screen and then close?? Stay on black screen until you close it in task manager?? Never does anything no matter how many times you click the icon??
Basics....
1) Disable Anti-virus to see if game starts.
2) Don't have any Razor brand software installed for Mouse, keyboards or headphones.
3) Keep your drivers updated...and on some occasions even the bios can cause an issue.
4) Preform a clean boot to see if cross program interference is issue..What it is and how to do from Microsoft.
Hi,
Sometimes it will crash before anything has loaded, sometimes it will crash on the main screen, sometimes it will crash as the game loads. It also does this with a new game.
Anti virus is switched off.
I do not have any razor products
I believe drivers are up to date.
I did a clean boot a few months ago with my friend as he hoped it would solve the issue but it did not.
Thanks for your help
Just want to throw my lot in as well. I've never had a problem booting the game up, but I also haven't played in a few months. I have tried the solutions from the stickied thread (repairing the game, adding exceptions although I am not using AVG, updated NVIDIA drivers, re-ran DirectX installers from game folder, ran both Origin and the DAI EXE as admin...) and no dice.
To clarify, my issue is the game is not starting up. I'm not even getting to a black screen, the DAI.EXE is shown starting up but it crashes before anything visibly happens.
Try and rename your save file folder to Saves backup and go into Origin and turn off cloud saves. Then try to boot up the game and see if it will work or if it makes any difference.
Go into your Geforce experience and make sure the settings are all set to only use the Nvidia card. Also go into your machine settings and make sure everything there is set for quality and not any kind of power saving as that can lead to it trying to use the Intel graphics crap which will crash the game. Also make sure your laptop is plugged into the wall just to make sure it isn't swapping over due to perceived low batter or power use...
Hi there.
Thanks but still no Joy. So gutted this doesn't work. It used to work fine and now nothing.
