Game crashes only at a specific spot.
So I've played thru the game twice now with virtualy no problems at all, but this play thru every time I advance to getting in site of teh templar camp in hinterlands the game crashes. I figured may...

Ok so I made a new game thinking maybe my character / save file was corrupted got the new character to the same spot and same thing happens. I'm now guessing I have corrupt game files. Not sure if there is an easy repair method or if I'll just have to uninstall and reinstall the game.

Artillis, there are a few people having permanent crash issues (without errors) with Redcliffe and Winter Palace. The crashes occur when the game tries to auto save an it is the crashing while auto saving that causes the file corruption, not the file corruption causing the crash. This suggests that there is something trying to load in these areas which is causing the issue, I believe there is a third perma crash issue further on in the game as well but I haven't got past the Winter Palace.
I got past Redcliffe village by continual reloading and manual saving, took about 20 reloads to get the stuff for the mages' quest done possibly the most painful 2 or 3 hours I've ever had trying to play a game before. You shouldn't need Redcliffe for the horse master stuff, so you should be able to progress there. Right now EA/BW doesn't seem to care about this particular error so if you are experiencing it, it may be a while before we get a fix (if at all).
