10 years agoMissing T3 schematics
I've noticed online many people have been unable to locate (even after having farmed The Cradle) neither the MW Tevinter Longsword nor the Split Longsword schematics. It's believed to be due to a bug,...
@Apolojedi79 The current patch is patch 11, and that is the last patch intended for this game. Any bugs that remain will unfortunately remain unfixed. It's been a long time since I've had to look for schematics (thanks to the golden nug), so I'm not sure where to find particular ones, other than the merchant in the Hissing Wastes sometimes having some rare ones if you have a certain perk from Josephine.
I was wondering if it was a bug or whether these schematics were moved? No one seems to know for sure that they are bugged. I have read mixed reports ranging from they are ultra rare to being released at some point in a DLC (seems a bit unlikely now.) It would be nice to know for sure if there is no way or if they are obtainable, a hint as to where. Either way I think EA missed a trick on this - from the number of comments I have seen elsewhere - 'the unobtainable t3 masterwork collection dlc' might have made a few quid. That and hair styles.
PC users have also shared saves with these schematics obtained before patches were made - not sure if that's an option for console users.
Collected post patches, both of them so, they are just very rare, took me six games to get them but, I have them now. Both from the cradle, seems RNG as to if a particular game has them or not and not seems the common roll. I got the MW Tevinter last night, the Split on game 3 of my efforts to get them. MWT on Qunari Male mage. SLS on Elf Female sword and board warrior. You can bet they went straight to THE NUG, not loosing those after all the trouble getting them.
Farming does no good, seems either they are there for that game or they aren't and that's that, as if it's decided when you start a new game. Yeah lots of playing the same stuff over and over to get there each time but, the NUG helps, you can gear up and ge there faster in subsequent games.
So... Not a bug. Just extremely difficult to obtain.
Since I'm on my 12th playthrough, I haven't had a problem with any "Collections" in a long time.
(Except the damn mosaic pieces. I don't even bother worrying about them any more, just not gonna happen.)
