I have started the game offline several times. It sounds like something's not recording correctly when you initialise the game. You need to be online for the initial start of the game, but after that it shouldn't re-check.

Try restarting Origin as an administrator, and check that it and the game aren't being blocked by your firewall or anti-virus, then start the game again.

Close the game then set Origin to offline and try to launch again.

the game starts fine if origen is in offline mode, it is when the interent is not present at all that it asks for registration. so basically, what it seems like is there is no such thing as "offline" origen, if it allows me to play in "offline" mode when my computer has an internet connection, and it somehow can see that there is no internet connection even in so called "offline" mode.

Good point. I have not tried being completely offline when running the game. I will try tonight. If indeed it does not work, I will be VERY disappointed.

yup, tested the steps you outlines, same result. offline mode works for like 30 minutes, but in the time it take for me to get my laptop home it needs to be authorized again.
SCREW YOU EA, YOU SAID THIS COULD BE PLAYED OFFLINE! god damn thieves.
