The first thing you should do is running the game as administrator. That solves a lot of problems.

Also, you'll want to confirm your service starts when you boot the game. A few users have reported they need to manually start their service for some reason.

1. In Windows, Press start

2. Run "services.msc"

3. Find and start "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater"

4. Restart game
