Re: DirectX Error

This is a fundamental flaw in the Frostbite engine and has been happening since at least Battlefield 3.

I have dual 670's and a CPU @ 3.4GHz; my system is totally stable and plays every other game from every other publisher at or near Ultra settings with zero issues. But throw a Frostbite game at it and this happens every time. After having this happen with three seperate releases, I think I can say with certainty that this issue is NOT the fault of user hardware or graphics drivers. It HAS to be a problem contained within the Frostbite engine itself.

I've tried all the workarounds suggested since Battlefield 3 came out but nothing ever solves the problem. When Battlefield 4 came out I thought they might have fixed it, so I bought it day one. Oddly enough I was able to play the Beta just fine, but I can't finish a full match in the release version to this day.

I purchased DA:I not knowing that it ran off the Frostbite engine. What do you know, it does and the issue remains.

This is why I keep telling myself I'll never buy another EA game, even though I go against my better judgment and give them the benefit of the doubt for major releases like this one.

Long story short: this exact issue has been around for years in every game that uses Frostbite. There are thousands of posts from thousands of users going back to at least Battlefield 3 and there has never been a solid fix or workaround wether provided by DICE/EA or users. If you're holding your breath for EA or any of their developers to fix this issue, then you are much more likely to die of asphyxiation than to see them address it in any shape or form.

There is only one fix for this issue:

Stop buying EA games.

Is this still an issue for people? I've given up playing.

I guess this is sarcasm/cynism or something. I've also more or less given up, but if Bioware can't/won't fix their game I wan't my money back.

I worked on this for hours and hours the first day and finally gave up and asked for a refund.  But I never thought it would STILL be an issue!  I can't beleive they have not fixed it yet!!
