Re: Freezes, crashes, hangs, etc. can be easily caused by overly high overclocking!
Well the problem is, that many video-cards are already overclocked (only slightly) when you buy them... Same with my video-card (660GTX).
My problem with all the "Play around with over-/downclocking"-solutions is: It 'may' help. But the first warning I get when using nvidia-inspector "Playing around with overclocking can damage your hardware" ... for me, as someone who is really really bad with technical stuff and understanding even half of the numbers these programs throw at me, it is a big red "Don't do it! Don't even try!"-sign.
So knowing that even such slight overclocking, which came with the card as standard, can cause the problems... well it's good to know, but rather than risking my hardware getting broken (and me having to buy a new videocard) I rather would like that this problem is solved by a patch :/
Not knowing "if" they can actually solve that is rather annoying though...
