SLI / Crossfire Rendering Bugs - White fog and flickering Shadow issues

There have been a couple of other threads about these issues, but there has so far been no comment from either Bioware or Nvidia / AMD on the issues. Can someone from Bioware please do us customers a respect and let us know if they are aware or even working to remedy these bugs? I bought this game over the holidays but have had been holding off playing it until I am able to run it maxed out on my SLI Nvidia system. Right now my only options are to disable one of my video cards, or lower the details - both of which I would rather not do as this is a game I have been looking forward to for a long time.

Thanks in advance for any info on whether the matter is being looked into.

While it would indeed be nice to get some official recognition of these issues, there are a couple of things you can do.

There's a third party fix for the fog issue, which worked perfectly on my dual 770s: http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2014/12/dragon-age-inquisition-3dmigoto-dx11-3d.html

You can also minimise the flicker issue. In NVidia control panel set max pre rendered frames to 3, and enable triple buffering and maximise threading, and set maximum single display performance. That killed off pretty much all flicker for me - max pre rendered frames seems to be the major one.

  • Thanks for your reply. Do you still have to install the 3d wrapper to use the fog fix?

Does each of you recognize where your messages are being posted?  This is the EA game player community forum for Self-Help questions and such game play questions as you cannot get any response to on the developers' own game forums.  Bioware does NOT participate directly here, and EA's participation is through second hand reports made by the CMs who keep order here, not by EA's developers ever replying to anything on any almost forum anywhere, but most definitely not here at AHQ.  .

no, I only installed the 2d patch. Not the 3d or Flugan.
