I'm not sure when it happened but at some point my game must have glitched and now I can no longer see when "Solas approves/disapproves" of something even if every other character in the party shows that they do or don't. Since I can't see how much he likes me I don't know if it's still counting it and just not showing or what. It's really annoying since my inquisitor is romancing him. Anyone having similar problems?
Exact same thing happened to me. I think it started right after I completed Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. I've finished a few big quests that he should definitely be displaying approval/dissaproval for (Here Lies the Abyss and Cole's Personal Quest) but nothing. He no longer gives approval for finding those elven artifacts, either.
From what I can tell, once a companion has reached maximum approval you no longer see approval reactions. I was working very hard to get Solas approval up and at one point, despite the guide book saying he would approve certain decisions, it didn't show. I had to come to the conclusion that once you max someone out it simply doesn't appear anymore.
Could be wrong but the friendship levels in this game are a guess for anyone. No idea why they removed the friendship meter for our companions to help us gauge their current friendship status.
