Has anyone heard anything further on this from EA or figured out any work arounds?

my wife got it working for me earlier by closing my app and loading the game on her profile, which doesnt have the issue at all, then switching over and starting the app from my profile again. i tried this to no avail. anythign helps. i need my fix on this long weekend!!!!
