Hello, and thank you for your help!
1. What is the nature of the problem you are seeing?
When I attempt to exit the camp the world map does not properly load. Instead, only a solid grey rectangle is drawn by the engine in the upper left corner of the map interface.
2. When did the problem start occurring?
It has happened every time I have attempted to leave the camp. This is my first playthrough of the Ultimate Edition, and the first time Dragon Age has been installed on tis computer.
3. Where does your problem occur?
Upon leaving the camp.
4. What are the steps in replicating the problem?
The first time the problem ocurred, I had just completed the section of the game where Morrigan's mother has healed Alistair and the Grey Warden's wounds after being rescued from the tower. I immediately went to the camp rather than the village. I talked to Alistair and Morrigan, then tried to exit the camp. This is when the bug first appeared.
I could toggle the map to local map, and then try to go back to world, and it would clear the local map, and draw the grey rectangle instead of the World Map. My most recent save, I can't remember if it was a normal save or an autosave, was in the camp, and before that just before the battle with the Ogre. I first reloaded the camp save, but the bug persisted, so I reloaded from the battle.
After the second battle I went straight to the village from Morrigan's mother's house, and from there was able to transition to the camp. However, upon trying to the leave the camp, the bug re-appeared.
5. Have you modified your game in any way?
No.
Please let me know if there is any other informationt that may be helpful.
Thank you again.
I found this thread on the BSN that has some suggestions about what to do:
