Player always has aggro...

I'm a Rouge and no matter what I have aggro. I cant fight since I have to run all over the place to keep from dieing. Any way to get a warrior to get aggro?

So glad this game is free on psn, no money out of pocket.

If the rest of this game is like this Dragon Age got eaten by the dragon and died. I'm at the first dragon fight.

Figured I would give the game a try even after hearing all the negative. This time the negative was right on the money.

Hello :) There is a companion skill for warriors to help pull aggro off Rook. On Davrin it’s called Battle Cry and on Taash it’s called Dragon's Roar. It’s doesn’t hold their attention forever, but it does help. Especially because later down that skill line, there’s a decent heal for Rook that passively goes off while the skill is active :) until you get them, I recommend bringing Lucanis. He pummels enemies so fast it makes it easier to go in and kill them.

Also the first act really is kind of a slog, but it picks up in Act 2, and gets pretty good in Act 3. It is not a perfect game, and it’s frustratingly lacking in what we’re used to getting from a Dragon Age game in terms of character building and story. But some of the big moments are really well done and emotionally impactful. And the game play itself can be really fun, once you get past the learning curve. If you manage your expectations about what you’re going to get from character and NPC interactions -they’re nowhere near the depth you get like in previous games- then that helps. That being said, some of the companion quests were excellent -Emmerich, Lucanis, and Davrin’s.

I’m doing a rogue right now too and it’s definitely the most challenging class I’ve done so far. It’s very different from my typical smash first, ask questions later kind of play style lol.  I almost erased it. But now that I’ve gotten some of my skills up, it’s getting a lot easier/more fun. For me that happened around Level 9-10. Before that I was having to down health potions like they were candy lol  couple hits from an Antaam and I was toast. You definitely can’t go at them head-on, you have to dodge and go in for the attack between their attacks. If you wanna go in and just wreck enemies, then try a warrior. It’s fuuun. I just made one and I feel like an WWE wrestler lol  Anyway! Hope that helps!

Git gud? Jk. They will fight other characters, but you are the central target. At first you'll hate it, because you'll have to slow down to give commands. By the end of the game, you'll want your party members to stay out of the way so you can test one of what will probably be 2 to 4 builds.
