The only way to play that game is if you were streaming it from the cloud gaming on the Xbox app on PC.
Just to clarify what you mean by this, I did click to download the game while in the Xbox App Store on PC and it linked me into the EA App on PC where the actual download began. I am trying the Play First via Game Pass and would be nice if I didn't have to start over. I would also be more likely to buy the game after the trial since I already own it on my xbox and am pretty far in.

@MidwayMayhem So there are two options on the Xbox App. When you click on Coud gaming, it will run off your Xbox console saves because your streaming the console.
If you installed it from "my Library" or the Xbox Store on the app, then you are playing on PC saves. You cannot transfer your actual saves to PC from the Xbox cloud. If you want to play your Xbox saves on PC, use the Cloud Gaming. If not, then you would start over on PC.
I see what you mean now. While the EA App launched and started downloading it simultaneously started the same download in the Xbox App. No wonder it took so long! Thanks for the reply.
