Allow us to fully close program on "X" out
Add option so when we "X" out of EA Desktop, the program actually closes instead of minimizing to the system tray.

You can close down the EA app fully by clicking on the 3 stripes on the top left and choosing "Exit". Another way to fully close the app is by using ALT+F4.
I understand that's not what you're looking for, but I just wanted to highlight some workarounds 🙂
I'll be sure to keep monitoring this thread for feedback to see if other community members feel the same.
Thank you for the work around. ...and yes, it would be nice to have the option in settings, so we can choose whether to have it minimize or close upon "X"ing out, so that it is automatic and simpler.
I also would like to be able to close the launcher by clicking the "X" button 🙂. I normally shouldn't have to look up how to close it yet here I am...

Please! If you guys need feedback to add the option, here it is! Obviously you already can do it via the exit button, just add in an option to make it default. Stuff like this is why I use steam or GOG whenever I can.

I too feel this too be a huge issue with the EA app. There is already a minimize button. If I wanted to minimize it and keep the application runnin, I would select the minimize button. The E(X)IT button should exit and close the program entirely...
- @EA_Jason We all feel this way, stop forcing things on us and let us choose ourselves. There's absolutely no reason for us to not have this option.
Please and thank you I was forced to download the EA app so I could access your games on Xbox game pass. I am deeply unhappy with the fact that this app is clearly so unfinished that it is missing the very first feature I look for on any launcher. I have so many questions but the main one is when is this going to be fixed? @EA_Jason
- @EA_Jason that's not how Windows programs should act though. The X means CLOSE APP, not "Minimise to tray." That's the whole point of the X. Fix your app, please.
