app loading slow /old Dragon age syncing to cloud?
I'm pc and steam player of Dragon Age 2. Your app loading has always been slow, just with the red bar keep running then nothing. Need to click play many times then the popup will say: insufficient space in storage. I put continue with local data. Thing is, this game is OLD, and single player! So why need to sync to the cloud? Unnecessary! Just let us load and play quickly! Dispense with all the copycat ideas! 2. Steam opens & now have a new DA2 front picture now super-imposed, you are clearly copying off other games with launchers. Can't yr devs stop messing with the UI?? WE DONT WANT to troubleshoot how to Solved additional issues/ errors! And the below white bar will just stop moving >> coz since is single player the files are already in my computer even Decknine of the Life is strange series, they can jump to launch immediately. When the Ea app got errors, i talked to your live chat they always bluff- no nothing has been changed with the UI. If not changed, then why so slow?
Very disappointed with the Customer Support experience
Hello, I recently encountered an issue with my Steam account being linked to an EA account and phone number that I do not own, have never heard of, and have no access to. I contacted EA Customer Support because I was unable to unlink this unknown EA account from my Steam account and connect my Steam account to my actual EA account. During the support conversation, I provided all the information requested by the agent, “Vijay N.”, including personal and purchase-related details such as purchase dates, the last digits of my payment method, my phone number, and any other information I was asked to provide to verify ownership. Despite providing this information, the agent repeatedly insisted that I should use the “old account” to unlink Steam and recover access. I explained several times that I do not have an “old account” associated with this issue and that I have no knowledge of who linked their EA account to my Steam account or when this happened. This is precisely the problem I was contacting EA Support to resolve. Unfortunately, the conversation ended without any resolution. I was essentially told to contact another colleague because the agent could not assist me. The communication was also extremely difficult to follow due to the quality of the responses, and throughout the conversation I was left with the impression that my explanations and the information I provided were not being properly understood or considered. I find this experience extremely disappointing, particularly after spending time providing the requested information and cooperating fully with the verification process. I am simply trying to regain control of the connection between my own Steam account and EA account so that I can access and play the games I have legitimately purchased. I would sincerely appreciate it if EA could review this case and have it handled by someone who can properly investigate the unauthorized/unknown EA account currently linked to my Steam account. I am willing to provide any reasonable proof necessary to establish ownership of my Steam account and purchases. I hope EA can assist me in resolving this issue rather than simply directing me from one support agent to another without a solution. Thank you.Switch 2 Pro Controller Support.
Now that the Switch 2 is getting more support from EA, it would be nice if the EA App would get some sort of native support for the Switch 2 Pro Controller same as Steam has. This would be great since there are people like me that want to use a controller to play games, but do not have an XBox or a DualShock/DualSense and instead have a Switch Pro Controller. At this time the only options are either to get a 8BitDo USB Wireless Adapter 2, install BetterJoy or attempt to wrap the EA app with Steam by adding it as a non-Steam game, however even with this the EA App overlay can aggressively block or cause issues with the inputs of the Pro Controller.
Use a different app
Don't buy games from EA, Its not worth it. The Launcher is clunky and breaks all the time. It requires constant fixing and updates every other time you open and it doesn't have a real offline mode so you have to be connected to the internet and deal with the updates to play. It is just not worth the time and effort. If you can buy the game from a different place, even if its a bit more expensive, just do it.
EA please add a real offline option to EA APP!
Please EA I beg of you add a real offline setting! I miss being able to play games offline without internet! You make amazing games and I have bought many of them over the years ever since Origin! For the good of the world and players around it please add it! Thanks and keep making good games!
EA app Library Customization & Favorites Feature Request
I would love to see more customization options added to the EA app game library. One feature I would especially like to see is the ability to favorite games. Favorite games could appear in a dedicated “Favorites” section or automatically be displayed at the top of the library, making it much easier to quickly access the games we play most often. It would also be great to have additional library customization options, such as: Adding games to Favorites Displaying favorite games at the top Manually organizing games in a preferred order Creating custom categories such as “Favorites,” “Recently Played,” and “Installed” Hiding games that we are not interested in seeing Choosing how games are sorted and displayed in the library The EA app already has a large game library, so these features would make it much easier for users to organize and personalize their experience. These may seem like simple features, but they could make the EA app feel much more personal and user-friendly. I hope EA considers adding more library customization options in a future update. EA App needs a User quality of life update.
I'll start by saying I've been using EA's digital platform from the very beginning, Using EA Download manager and EA Downloader in the very Early days. I was an EA insider for a number of years (and a number of community managers ago) who helped with feedback and testing of the Origin app. I have also been an early adopter of the new EA app. That being said, I can no longer ignore little issues that are not being addressed. I like the app overall and think fixing these things will help to make it the best EA app possible. More User options needed for organization and layout. I will give the most noticeable example. This is an eye sore and I hate looking at it when browsing my library. In past apps I could delete or remove them, hide them, or organize them into a folder that I could close and never look at. In the current app, I can't do any of that. Assuming the game data was being pulled from steam, I figured I'd delete it there, but that is also not an option. Notice there is no option to remove the Battlefield 6 Beta. I'm sure I can go through support perhaps, either through EA or Steam or both to have this removed and cleaned up, maybe, But I don't want to waste my time dealing with it and I shouldn't have to. Box Art options needed as well Also, why can users not edit their box art? Past apps allowed us to, and so do several competitors apps. Some might think the feature is nice but unnecessary, and I could see that point of view. I wouldn't have a problem with that so long as all available Box Art was updated and worked well. This example shows the one I have In my library that shows this isn't the case. Again, I have no option to hide or edit the Pinnacle station dlc and it just looks bad. Friends list's Needs updates to how it gathers and displays friend data For some unknown reason, I have several friends who's name is listed as a number. If I click on the name to open the next screen, it will show the user name below the number as shown here: Why can't that just be the populated name in the friends list? Where is this number coming from and why is it being shown over the user name that the friend listing was made from? These are just a few things I've been looking at for some time that I have been hoping would be fixed but they have not been since launch of the new app. I realize I have a larger EA library than most and many people may never see these issues but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Please make a pass on the current build and address these issue. Cleaning up the usability of the app on the user side would make things so much better as we could fix these issue on our own if you gave us the ability to. Having the ability to delete/remove or edit items in the library, to include box art, would have allowed me to fix most of these issue myself.
Feature Request: "Download All DLCs" button for EA App
Hello. Please add a "Download All" or "Select All" button for game add-ons and DLCs in the EA App. Currently, players have to click on each expansion individually to start the download, which is extremely frustrating and time-consuming when you own dozens of DLCs (for example, in The Sims 4). This is a basic quality-of-life feature that steam and other launchers already have. Please consider adding it in the next updates. Thank you.
