EA DOING NOTHING FOR PLAYERS
I accidentally bought a DLC on EA without owning the base game. Obviously, the DLC is useless without the main game, so I tried to request a refund. But EA didn’t give me any response at all — they just closed my case without saying anything. No email, no reason, nothing. I just want to get a refund so I can buy the full game properly. This kind of customer service is really disappointing. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do next?Thoudam-A3 hours agoRising Newcomer6Views0likes0CommentsImportant EA App Functionality Improvement
Thanks a lot for your efforts on improving the EA App. I have a list of things to mention here as a very important feedback for the EA App 1- I would really appreciate it if the EA Background Service is turned off automatically after the EA App is closed off completely. 2- Improved and fixed game installation for older games like Mirror's Edge as they fail to properly get installed. I really like old games published by EA Games, and they have made me happy throughout my childhood and I still play them to this day. I don't want these games to get abandoned just because they are old. 3- Frame rate counter for the EA in-game overlay 4- Improved download speeds 5- Enhanced EA App reliability I really like the EA App, and I think it can be better than Origin if most of the critical issues are fixed. However, I can't really use the EA App in its current state. I have actually even stopped playing any EA Games until the EA App is fixed, and I really miss playing my favorite EA Games as I have always done in the past using Origin. I hope that these concerns are dealt with soon. Thanks again to the EA TeamPeter78014 hours agoRising Scout230Views1like1CommentNo Family sharing option is some SICK kind of joke.
We all know that EA is doing everything to rip us off the money. Hundreds DLCs that contain things that should be in the base game and not gonna lie it's freaking expensive. But we all know that alredy. I acepted all that but it's some kind of sick joke that while i payed this much i still don't have the abilyty to share my games witch my family. When I shared my room with my little sister she was simply playing on my pc but now we have separate rooms ale she wanted to play whenever she likes. I serched how can I share my games witch my family and i found some sick regulations that prohibit any sharing of games or accounts. I'm really not rich and I was collecting my the sims 4 DLCs for years and I still don't have many and I won't allow my sister to pay as much as i did for things we already have at home just because some huge company wants more and more money even tho they treat their suporters/customers like **bleep**. I saw some people talking about this years ago but i don't see any change. And honestly I'm not even sure if I'm more mad or sad about it. I'm sad that i was so stupid as a kid that i decided i want to suport a company like this.Kamelia_xi4 days agoSeasoned Newcomer27Views1like1CommentEA App Offline access
Hello! Firstly, I work as a seafarer, and therefore I am away from internet access 10-12 weeks at a time. Is there really no way to access the EA App for offline games, without connecting to the internet to access the app? I know you can supposedly go to offline mode, but if I have to be online to set my app to offline mode EVERYTIME I exit the app, or shut down my laptop, it kind of defeats the purpose. I can see, that this issue is a very old one. But how is it now a days? Is it being looked into? It seems like every other launcher app has a working offline mode, so how come the EA app is working so poorly in this regard. I would like to have access to my games, that I have paid for, even without internet access.spanksinatra8912 days agoSeasoned Newcomer163Views4likes9CommentsIs two too many?
I'd like to raise the absolutely frustrating issue that when I turn around and turn on my second computer it signs into the app and kicks me out of what ever I'm doing on my one computer. Mid match, mid what ever it is I'm doing. If having two PCs signed in to a single account is just too much to handle then I submit a better way of dealing with this would be to halt the login on the new computer stating the account is already in use for several reasons. First if the account is compromised this will halt the proper own from logging in and the will be forced to take note of the issue. Second, by not disturbing wrongful user this gives the correct user the opportunity to fix the issue while the other is busy. Finally, this will not kick me out of what ever it is I'm doing just because I have two computers.RichardTatorSr13 days agoSeasoned Newcomer36Views0likes2CommentsThe New EA App is The Worst Gaming App Ever
It amazes me that a company this influential and wealthy can develop an app that can prevent me from downloading games, viewing my game library, and launching my games. It is inexcusable. I didn't get around to actually writing this feedback down because I still had the option of using Origin, which wasn't the best gaming app, but it did its job. You could view your games, and launch them without issue. All of a sudden, they forced me to use their grotesque new EA App to play their games, but funny enough they couldn't get me to, because I CAN'T PLAY MY GAMES TO BEGIN WITH. I have tried every single troubleshoot fix on this forum, and yet none of them work. I have reinstalled the app several times, changed my game directory, changed my antivirus settings, changed my application launch settings, and I have even reinstalled Windows at least three times to see if it was just me. The worst part of it all is the feedback from the EA community team. The live chat service gives the absolute worst support, and the forum posts are almost never responded to, and if they are responded to, the support team will mark their "solutions" as accepted, when THEY DON'T WORK. It is absolutely deplorable what this company is doing.4.1KViews23likes16CommentsOption to invite a friend without overlay!?
I don't use origin or EA app in-game overlay. Sometimes it makes problems with game's performance. In Origin there was an option to invite a friend, without overlay -> minimize game, open Origin window, right click on a friend opens a menu and there's an invite option, also a join game option. Just got a mandatory switch to EA app. Where's the right click menu on friends in the friends list!? Thank god he's still able to use origin, so he can join from this exact menu. It's been years and this is a basic feature, which you already had with Origin. Where is the right click menu on friends - for invite game, join game, etc!!!?10KViews6likes14CommentsThe (actual) Friends list problem
5 years since the EA app betas, and the main problems with the friends list has still not been rectified. I'm not here to bash on EA or anything, just asking a question regarding actual functionality that is present in every competing launcher on PC. Why is the friends list limited to 99 friends? - Most other launchers supports at least 400 friends, and I had around 200 friends on Origin. Why does the right click not do anything, no drop down menu or anything? Every other PC launcher has this option. Even Origin had it, so why can't EA app manage friends the same way? Consoles also has the option to manage friends and game lobbies through the friends list. This is the Steam drop down menu. While in a game lobby, you also have the option to invite friends through this menu, or when friends are in an open game lobby, you can join through this menu. Same thing, but in League of Legends. The option to join game lobbies is not in the right click menu, but rather behind the friends' names, as a separate button. Like Origin had. Here is Ubisoft's version. The join/invite option becomes visible when a you or a friend plays a game that both owns. Side note: Ubisoft's client looks almost identical to the EA app. And lastly, here is Activision-Blizzard's Battle.net client. Like with the others, the option to join/invite becomes available when you or your friends are in a game lobby. Why is this functionality so hard to implement?32Views0likes0CommentsEA App vs. Origin - Who did it better?
So, after the Origin workaround got removed, I have not had the desire to play much of EA titles. Why? Because the EA app launcher is a mess that has never worked right for me. Game overlay: Origin - Worked fine in every game that supported an overlay. Chats, friends list, game invites, options to join games. All was there. Even a rudimentary web browser. EA app - Serves to only display friends list and chats. Does not allow for joining games, feels clunky to use. And worst of all, it has never worked properly for me in older games, like Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age Inquisition, so I can never host lobbies that my overseas friends can join anymore, since those games require a working overlay to manage the in-game invite function. Friends list: Origin - Had support for up to 400 friends, if I recall correctly. A healthy number. I had around 200 friends on Origin. - Very similar to how Steam and other launchers manages the friends list. Supported game invites and joining games by right-clicking on the friend you wanted to join/invite, or joining games directly with the nice blue button. EA app - Has a hard-cap of 99 friends! - This is some real BS, which means a lot of re-adding if old friends wants to catch up. No support for joining/inviting friends' games. - This functionality is present in every other game launcher available. Steam, Epic, Ubisoft and so on.. All of them supports game invites and joining through the friends list. Hell, even the CONSOLES has a join/invite function through the friends list. Come on EA, we live in 2025. This functionality should be a given. UI Origin - This was probably the weakest point of the old Origin launcher, where the UI was pretty much the same throughout its lifespan from 2011 and all the way up to the end. But it was functional enough, and easy to use and understand. It did not have a nice dark mode though, as it was mostly white, and the performance was all over the place, with frequent hangs. But it had a much more comprehensive settings menu. EA app - Looks nice and modern, and performs rather well. It feels more complicated to use compared to Origin, and the limited launcher settings tab is hidden behind your name. Library Origin - Showed every game you owned, including those that were part of the EA Play program, if you had previously been a subscriber. This made it easier to re-subscribe since all the games were in your library to download and play for a later date. Origin also supported trial version of games. EA app - Does not show all the games all the time, no trial versions, and any EA Play game you had in Origin is not present. Overall Experience Origin - Functioned as any other game launcher on PC. Intuitive to use, and had every function you needed from a game launcher. Granted, it was prone to hanging and crashing, but when it worked, it worked really well, and it felt like an EA version of Steam, in every good way possible. 9/10 - It had its issues, but it was a serviceable game launcher. EA app - Has not been a great experience in the slightest. The launcher is too limited, and lacks any form of basic functionality you would expect from a game launcher on PC. It feels more like a storefront page with a game library and a tiny friends list tacked on. 3/10 - While it looks and performs well, it does not serve its functionality as a game launcher should. My personal recommendation is for EA to implement a 400 friends cap and the functionality to invite/join games through the friends list, as ANY NORMAL GAME LAUNCHER HAS. That would be a start at least. Any thoughts from you guys?34Views0likes0CommentsKEEP EA IN OFFLINE MODE!!!
So I do not have internet access at home, and I used to play sims all day. Now I can't even play my sims, I'm just lucky to have hotspot on my phone to be able to at least start it up, which is limited. When I run out of GB for this month, I have no idea what I'm going to do... I'm so sad, and the reason I even got into the Sims was to be able to have an offline game I could immerse myself into for hours at a time. I DO PUT MY EA APP INTO OFFLINE MODE, but anytime I turn off the PC or have to reboot it, it requires internet connection to open EA therefore access to sims. So no internet connection? No sims ☹️ I honestly do not find the EA user friendly, if anything, IT IS AGAINST THE USER!11KViews22likes29CommentsThe EA app is censoring standard non-English words in chat.
Can someone explain why the chat in the EA app censors standard words or even numbers from languages other than English? For example, words like "bych" or numbers like "420" are being censored.IIIArcisitIII25 days agoRising Newcomer51Views0likes1CommentThings take a little longer to load than usual...

Every time I try to play, it needs to update. This is already annoying but is made infuriating when it will not update. It takes quite a while to get to 2 or 3% before failing and giving an error message. I never wanted this stupid app to begin with but have to have it installed to play a game I've already purchased... if you are going to force people to use it, the least you could do is make it work properly. By the time I get done fighting with it, I'm either no longer in the mood to play or I've run out of time to. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I played this within the past two weeks... I used to purchase every Sims expansion pack and add on but you've made this such a nightmare that I'm completely done.Eroseunoia30 days agoSeasoned Newcomer85Views1like3CommentsReverting to an older version of a game
Hi there! Lover of football games here, especially the not-so-new ones. I see there's no way in the EA app to install games from disc anymore. I used to do that in Origin, especially with FIFA 14 and FIFA 16, as the patches made them worse to me than they were at release. Yeah, still playing both of them. Once installed I'd then go offline while playing those games (as the servers have been closed so there's no reason to stay online anyway) so I could avoid updating, as the latest update for FIFA 16 is mandatory to start the game while in online mode (again, why? Servers are now gone!) Is there any chance you add back that feature, or at least give us an option to choose which specific version of a game to download? Let's say, again, FIFA 16 1.0 or FIFA 22 TU3? Something like that? Thank you!Solved3.3KViews0likes4Comments
