About to uninstall this garbage - can't disable start on bootup
For weeks now. Every single day the launcher starts up on bootup, quietly. And in the middle of the day randomly pops up with an update about a sale! I disable the "launch on startup" option. I close the app. I open the app back up. It's toggled on. I toggle it off. The next day, it pops back up in the middle of the day. Your storefront/launcher is bad and everyone who works on it should feel bad. I'm about to uninstall the last game I don't even really play just to get rid of this garbage piece of software. It's incredible how a company with so much money can't even have a basic, functional storefront/launcher in the year of our lord 2026. I guess things that were capable decades ago are just out of reach for today's companies.
The EA PC app is still broken after 3 years
Seeing others comment on this and having run into it for the first time, the EA app is a buggy piece of trash on a good day, but today takes the cake. Tried playing Jedi Survivor, no issues until game crashes, send report and try to reopen, EA app refuses to open. I have a game that I didn't purchase on an EA platform, dependant on an app that doesn't work, and I cant even talk directly to support stagf because EA doesn't recognize that I own the game that they won't let me play. Look to old forum posts, and google around. Not one case solved by EA, suggesting that factory resetting your computer is the final troubleshooting option to make their broken app maybe work. The state of the gaming industry today is truely sad. From being EA, its in the game, to this, destroys any good memories I had playing any of your games, and the nostolgia you are hoping keeps us buying your dying properties fades more every day.EA-app allowed to login from 2 computers
I have two computers with the ea-app but the limit is one at a time. Suggestion Can you please allow 2 EA - app to be able to run from 2 different computers on the same lan. It is fine if one ea app can be played at a time. that is good, but please allow two ea apps to login

Feedback about the EA App (Mobile & PC) On mobile, the EA App works really well. However, on PC there are issues: friends who are online and actively playing are not shown correctly. Even in Battlefield 6 itself, those players do not appear as online — while in the mobile app they do. On Discord, they also confirm that they are online and playing. The chat feature in the EA App works perfectly fine. Another suggestion for improvement: It would be great if the EA App allowed users to expand their profile with additional information about themselves. This would help other players see who they are interacting with and would improve the overall community experience.
Request for Discord Account Connection Modification
I would like to discuss the issue of Discord account connections. Currently, users are limited to a single connection for the entire lifespan of their Discord account, which I believe is impractical. It would be beneficial to allow users the option to change their account connections periodically, providing them with flexibility. For example, users may have inactive accounts associated with different usernames and would benefit from the ability to switch connections. Additionally, in cases where a user's Discord account is banned, the current restriction prevents them from switching to a different account. Implementing a cooldown period for connection changes would strike a balance between security and user satisfaction. Considering the evolving needs of users and the potential for unforeseen circumstances, a more adaptable policy regarding account connections would greatly enhance the overall user experience. I kindly request that you take this proposal into consideration.
Yet ANOTHER EA APP Issue - Oh LAWD!!!
Greetings - I tend to not say too much because it interferes with my inner peace. However, this one needs my voice. This is something that has been happening recently that also needs to be fixed. Time Limit Controls: My "Playtime Controls" are set to Unlimited for both Weekdays and Weekends. Also, My internet is unlimited so there are no issues on that front. In addition, my son is a grown adult and does not play any EA games (i.e. Family Playtime is of no consequence and never used.) I am a grown adult. I set the EA App and Game to settings that suit my gameplay. I do not need anyone to tell me "it's time to stop playing so we're going to exit you out of your game." As an adult well within in her 60s, this is an insult to my intelligence and independence. My parents are both dead. (I took care of my mother until she passed away.) My grandparents are all dead. I've lived outside of my parents home for over 45 years, meeting my own obligations without one iota of assistance from EA/MAXIS. Now, if EA/MAXIS wants to make those types of decision as it relates to my time, than I will happily accept a monthly check in the amount of $5,000 to cover my bills and expenses. (Ha, ha, ha. I'm actually not for sale.) Seriously, EA/MAXIS, please don't confuse adults with children who should not be playing this adult game in the first place. EA/MAXIS knows who is under 18 and who is not. No adult should be treated as a child because children are present. Adults do not need EA/MAXIS supervision. At least I do not. I was raised me well. Hopefully this too, will find it's way to being fixed. (Yet I hold out very little hope.)I AM FRUSTRATED!!! Why is EA turning on "updates" when I have turned them off!!
If this is posted in the incorrect location, please forgive. None the less, I am sooooo frustrated!!! I am an intelligent person. I have also programmed. I ALWAYS TURN OFF ALL Game updates in the EA App as I did with Origin. If I have UPDATES TURNED OFF, WHY does EA think they should turn it back on? WHY is EA forcing me to update my game without my permission? Especially after specifically stating that I DO NOT want to update, because ALL Update options are turned off. What I've noticed is EA will force the App to close and then when I sign back in, it automatically forces the game to update. What is interesting is the other items I turned off, remain turned off. Yet the "Update Games Automatically" and "Install Updates Automatically" are turned on. This is NOT the first time, ... this is not the FOURTH time. ... And it really is unacceptable. EA has not ever (past, present and/or future) gift(ed) me anything as it relates to The Sims Franchise. I purchased every EA/MAXIS Sims Base and DLC item I own starting with the game in 2000. I play The Sims out of enjoyment not obligation. However, every time this happens, my enjoyment is drastically curtailed. Hopefully someone with authority, who cares, at EA/MAXIS will look into this and fix/remove the unnecessary intrusion. Again, if this is posted in the incorrect location, please forgive. Hello, I'm opening this thread to let you know that it is incredible that in 2025 there is still no button to allow players to locate installed games like we were able to do with the Origin App. There are thousands of threads on this forum about players unable to select a folder where the game is already installed, forcing them to install the game again. I hope you will take this into consideration. Thank you.For Me - EA App Instability is Unacceptable.
Let me start by saying I love the SIMS and have been playing since the beginning. I've played all iterations, The Sims, Sims 2, MySims Wii, Sims Mobile, Sims City, Sims 3 Wii & PC and now Sims 4 & MySims on PC. I am also not one of those fly-by-nights who have recently decided to no longer play. Thank you for the Sims which has seen me through many ups and downs, including family tragedies, cancer cocktails and survival. So What Happened this time? While on-line, the EA App said I had no programs installed. Yet, when off-line, I am able to open my programs. This tells me something is broken with the EA App. And 'No" it is not my internet connection. . . I am immediately writing this message and submitting it On-Line. That being said, I find the issues with the EA App unacceptable. There were no constant issues like this with Origin. YouTube doesn't have these problems and it is a much bigger platform. Google & G-Mail do not have these problems, also much larger and widely used platforms. What is it about the EA App that make it sooo unstable? These are only questions that will hopefully be answered while I'm still on the planet. Please do not send me any cookie cutter responses. Instead provide cognitive clarity and fixes. Hi! I love The Sims 4 and used to play it on Windows, but I now have a Chromebook for school. A ChromeOS version or official cloud-play option would help a lot of students who can’t use Windows or Mac. I know I’m not the only one who’d play if it were available. Thanks for listening!
Option in App settings to not minimize the App after game launch
I have 3 Monitor and I like to have the EA app open on one of them so I can see my friends list. I would like to see an option in the EA App settings that I can toggle so it does not minimize the EA App every time I launch a game. Best RegardsEA has got to be the worst game launcher to exist
I’ve been playing on EA for a couple months now and I get trouble after trouble continuously. From Anti-Cheat failed updates and me having to do them manually, to constant sign outs, to failed game launches, and all the way to one of my game’s progress reset. I sometimes get errors saying that the game is downloaded in my device but belongs to another user so I can’t launch the game??? Or when it logs me off the account and I plug in my credentials it says that it either doesn’t match or it’s expired, when it in fact hasn’t. EA has to fix all of the above issues. When I apply for support, it literally doesn’t help at all. Please do something about it. If you’ve read all my rant about EA, thank you for ur time. I’m genuinely pissed off
Allow EA app to stay logged in on multiple computers
I use EA app on multiple computers depending on where I'm at, it constantly forces me to offline mode. It's annoying and causes me issues. If you don't want multiple launches of game at once, do it on a game app level. Don't force the whole launcher app to go offline when at another computer
Ea app idea
Here EA a suggestion! People should be able to get a refund on packs but you get ea points to get something else from the ea app. I have a few packs that i regret buying but i cant get my money back because i bought the packs a long time ago. If a pack was redeemed as free then no refund.
