Don't change the visibility of the EA app icon or launch it at every update!
I always set game launcher icons visible in the system tray so I can see if they're running and close them if needed. Every single time the EA app updates itself, it will reset the setting and stay hidden so the only way to see it is clicking on the arrow to check all icons. Every single time, I set it to visible again and it will inevitably revert that setting a couple of days later. Please, respect my settings and keep the app icon visible if I set it like that. That's especially important since the EA app has been updating several times a week, often taking over the screen at very inopportune times and taking me out of games, video and work. Keeping apps updated is important, I get it. But if the app launches itself automatically with every update, that's digital **bleep**. Allowing the app to automatically update should mean it updates when I open it, not whenever it wants. At best, it should update in the background without starting up. DO NOT LAUNCH AN APP BY ITSELF EVER, it's not your PC to go around opening stuff without my explicit command.
I couldn't get the redeemed rewards
Hey ea Im unable to get redeem rewards from the redeem codes you have shared..it showed the rewards is sent to my account but I didn't get those reward in the past.In my opinion my rewards are mistakenly share to other account . This is my uid <removed>. Please help me to get those missing rewards or if you couldn't help me to get those missing rewards ...then please compensate me. About to uninstall this garbage - can't disable start on bootup
For weeks now. Every single day the launcher starts up on bootup, quietly. And in the middle of the day randomly pops up with an update about a sale! I disable the "launch on startup" option. I close the app. I open the app back up. It's toggled on. I toggle it off. The next day, it pops back up in the middle of the day. Your storefront/launcher is bad and everyone who works on it should feel bad. I'm about to uninstall the last game I don't even really play just to get rid of this garbage piece of software. It's incredible how a company with so much money can't even have a basic, functional storefront/launcher in the year of our lord 2026. I guess things that were capable decades ago are just out of reach for today's companies.Add option for closing app entirely when you hit the X
Please for the love of almost everything except money put in a switch that will let me close the EA app entirely when I hit "close" in the top right of the window, instead of "closing" to the system tray (effectively just minimizing the app.) I do NOT want ads popping up in the corner of my screen. I will Go Out Of My Way to not purchase anything that is advertised to me in this invasive manner. I do NOT want the app to be running in the background when I hit the "close"- CLOSE! button. Not Minimize! Close! General computer courtesy, in my opinion, is allowing the user to control their experience. EA is failing spectacularly at this by prioritizing their Ads over user experience, if what I suspect (that this wasn't a decision by the devs and was instead a decision by management) is true. I suspect this because almost every other app in existence that might have a reason to minimize to system tray (auto updates, etc.) gives the user the option to forego whatever niceties that minimizing to system tray does and close the app entirely, should they wish to. Even if it takes menu-diving to find. Another idea: Allow us to turn off pop up ads. We already pay money for your games, and I'm certain you already sell any data of ours that you can get your hands on to ad partners. At least give us the option to have a clean app experience (at the very least for those of us dedicated enough to find the settings to make it so.) Do better.
Reset Hours Played or Opt-Out
It's 2023 and I've seen posts like this for years. Let us disable gameplay hours (temporarily) or reset it. Sometimes I leave the game open and close my computer overnight or for a few days, so it's not accurate. Sometimes, I don't want to be tracked. Sometimes, I want to have the option to control things in my game accounts. I was going to start a new account so I can get rid of the hours, but I saw that games + expansions don't transfer. I'm expecting the typical "We didn't know this was an issue and why would anyone want to do that?" response, but I'm hoping something changed.Bejeweled Stars
I have been playing this game on Facebook since 2021.....over the weekend I couldn't access the game at all....today I've been able to log in but ALL of my coins and trinkets have gone!!! I'm stll at level 968 but everything I've crafted or collected over the years has all gone!!! have tried to contact the support team but as yet nothing has been resolved....i've reached out to a few other players who are also having the same problems. player id.......10163916735730413
Screw your "EA App Needs To Restart" while playing
Seriously, what MONKEYS work on design and coding of this thing? If I started EA App that's because I want to PLAY A GAME. If I am playing a game I DON'T WANT TO STOP JUST SO YOUR APP CAN RESTART. If you need to check for updates DO IT BEFORE OPENING IT AND UPDATE IT BEFORE LAUNCH LIKE STEAM DOES FOR AT LEAST A DECADE. SHEESH.STOP STEALING FOCUS ON GAME EXIT
When I exit a game I bought on Steam such as Mass Effect Legendary Edition, EA App brings its window to foreground... TWICE... in a span of few seconds. How hard it is to: 1. Not show app if it was minimized 2. Not put it in foreground (that's actually considered malicious behavior in Windows) 3. At least not do it twice but wait until it's ready Claude writes better code.
i can't connect my ea account with my xbox account
These two days, every time I try, it shows an error message and won't let me complete the link. Something went wrong... We encountered an error and couldn’t complete your request. Try again a little later. how can i solve this problem, or how long should i wait.
Issue with EA Help
Why does it have to be so hard to get some help from EA, I just want a direct conversation because sending me between https://help.ea.com/en/ and https://myaccount.ea.com/am/ui/account-information does not help at all. my membership ends in sept 2026,,they just saiud i had to renew,,i renewed for 3 months they took 39.00 out of my accountD7p bank..for a year..it really wasnt due.why r u ripping mee ofg.. i been a member for 20 years..and they didnt give me gems either for renewing ..rip off oll never tell anyone to join this site..i had 2 sisters and friends from work join here ,,,n ot anymore..plos i know u dont give a <removed> [CM - Edited title for clarity, removed personal info]
Restore ability to hide games in library
Since you just closed 4 year old topic suggesting restoring basic functionality (that was present in origin) here I am to create new one. Please restore ability to hide games or remove them from account. This is very important for games that are demos, betas or no longer available Why do I have to watch Bejeweled 3 every time I want to find battlefield in my library? Why do I have to watch ea sports madden nfl just because I clicked on wrong tile while I had EA Play and it was instantly added to my account? I cannot even play it, it requires me to purchase subscription again (tile is grayed out) so I really have no idea why is it even visible in my library... I want to hide all these ugly mistakes and keep my library clean. It would be plus if I could add tags or group games into custom groups but just this basic functionality of hiding games and optionally removing them from account would be great.
Bring the ability to create short cuts to desktop and other games back
Please can we have the following updates to EA App, when running games like crusader no remorse , no regret, mass effect 3 ect , then running it from the short cuts provided it tells you it needs origin installed and to go install origin again. This doesn't work as origin doesn't work , so what about the ability to create a shortcut to the desktop that runs the game the same way as running it through the ea app , just removing the loading ea app , finding the game and clicking on play . Have things available to launch on the app ,eg "Command and Conquer The Ultimate Collection Additional Content" this was on origin and worked fine , but was shown in our library , and the ability to run it . The content was totally removed from EA App, and accessing it was hard due to not been able to get into the application .
