I hope the forum gets a little attention at least, and your post is quite comprehensive! Just as a regular user I think I should be able to download and install a game, or uninstall a game without an issue in a launcher because that is quite basic functionality. I just tried to do that and sat there for 10 min while the game was "preparing" an update before I was able to hit cancel. Unfortunately the beta app is missing some of the basics.
The "uninstall" button exists, but it's hard to find. If they are adding parental safety features, then parents who are not 100% techy should be able to figure it out and regular people are going to struggle a bit. It's become like MacOS, too basic and it's hard to find settings or make simple changes. The app feels over-modernized with some weird layout choices that make basic navigation doable at best, but most times just plain confusing. So navigation and layout changes are what I hope to see!

- Okay I haven't looked into the EA App for a while and was caught off-guard by the news that it left beta phase and Origin goes away (though I kind of expected this to happen by th end of the year anyway tbh).
So I had a glance at trello and there have been a lot of updates since - achievements added, launch params added, gametime data logged, more (all?) games moved from Origin etc.
Maybe it won't be so bad. I'm gonna miss Origin anyway, EA App doesn't do anything better but...
Gonna do some testing soon.- Despite adding a few features and forcing the entire player base to switch to EA App it still lacks basic functionalities.
Where is for example a WISHLIST view?
I used to keep a list of games I want to get in the future on Origin. All gone now? Thanks EA, great job.
The trello roadmap used to have a "thing's we're exploring" section. Nothing like it anymore. Is the new laucher even being developed or do they seriously think that the job done? What a joke of a platform.

ADD WISHLIST- btw. where is the FPS counter? another useful feature gone?
also why does the overlay contain only social functions now? it used to have settings, achievements, etc.
