FPS counter - old topic
I know there are older topics about this, and I have posted about it myself. Couldn't find where it is and hasn't been mentioned for a while (as far as I can see), So:
Is there any plan to add an FPS counter at some point?
I think I know the answer, but thought I'd give it another mention. First request was when Origin was replaced by the EA app, quite a while ago.
Other than that, I have to say I am now very happy with the EA app. Haven't had any issues for two years now. Plus, it's fast, and the "repair game," function which I use often as a verify game files tool is very useful. I've never had a broken game, but like to verify frequently as a preventative measure. It works well.
Finally (forgive me for mentioning this again), I don't recommend purchasing from one platform which links to the EA app. (or any other app for that matter) For example, purchase on Steam which then links to EA app.
It may cause problems as using two launchers for one game adds an extra layer of potential strange problems to happen.
If I see a game I want on Steam, I close it and purchase directly from the EA app. One launcher, one game.
Not a single problem since I started doing that over two years ago.
However, this is just my opinion based on one issue ages ago which was caused by launching Steam, which launched EA app, which launched game. Got it sorted and it's probably the exception rather than the rule, but it just seems good sense not to add extra steps to get to a game.
Hi @GawgPorkChop,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feedback.
Please note that, as of now, we don't have any further information regarding the FPS counter being added to the EA app. However, I'd like to share this article which will give you some other options to have an FPS counter in your EA games; How to display an FPS counter in EA games
I hope this helps!
