Dear EA, I do not want your App. I would like a refund so I can buy Sims 3 on Steam instead. Or please stop blocking my access to Origin. Thank you.

For now we can use Origin after some manipulations:

I uninstalled the EA App because it kept closing my game, mid game.
And the fact that I'm constantly closing it and having to kill the EA Background process cause it never goes away despite the Launcher being fully closed.
Background services doesn't close, it turns into malware, running in the background collecting data.
I re-downloaded Orgin to access my games, and it gives me an un-closable window that says DOWNLOAD EA APP.
At this point EA is holding my games hostage if I don't download their app.
Thank you so much. I got stuck with the app again and it ran Andromeda once then it would not run it again. So I uninstalled the app and rebooted then installed an Origin thin client I had and that updated to the latest Origin then demandedd the app Arrgh. Finally I found your post and now Origin is fine and I can play Andromeda again. I got the full reskin from nexusmods and am into Andromeda again lol.
Wow, me too! I've got Sims 3, all expansion packs, all stuff packs, and nearly everything from the store. I've also got Sims 4, Alice... I'd like immediate access to my content or a full refund of everything I've ever purchased. That goes back to Sims 2, btw. With interest.
As of 6+ hours ago, EA PATCHED THE FIX.
While that may be true, it still doesn't work. My only satisfaction is that, unlike generically named "Origin", EA has attached its name and logo to this thing. Every single time anyone in any country experiences problems like this, they'll see that name and logo in bright red. Of course, most of us already associate EA with problem after problem with no solution, or with the company continuing to blame the players. But now? Wow. They've outdone themselves for bad PR. Perhaps it's the only thing they're really good at! I'm actually amazed some opportunistic law firm hasn't taken up this case by now. I'll certainly be happy to join the first class action suit announced!
I do not want EA app either is there any way I can prevent it from installing onto my computer I am very happy with origin and have never had any problems with it.
