I don't know if this is just the beta version (cause of telemetry and stuff) but I want to make sure to give this feedback
There NEEDS to be an option to go offline. That is currently not the case. Many games have offline modes and many people have bad Internet. Please Please Please, I beg you, have an offline mode in the full version.
The EA app now has an offline mode.
Click on the menu symbol (Three strokes top left) > Go offline.
Yes please, this really needs to happen. In addition to what Crin said, some people have old computers or weak hardware, and every little thing they can do to lower the stress on their systems helps their games run a bit better.
Plus, playing while totally offline is a useful troubleshooting step to distinguish between connection/antivirus/cloud syncing problems and other issues.
A offline mode is planed, right? 😇

Offline play is not available during the EA Desktop Beta. We're aware of the feedback on this feature, so I'll make sure that gets to the team.
It need offline mode on EA Desktop Beta as I don't have good internet so when the internet go off I get sign out.
Community ManagerThe fact that they even launched this beta and required us to install it without an offline mode is atrocious. They are knowingly denying people access to games that are fully paid for, and that is inexcusable in my book.
And the EA manager is dodging the question about whether its a planned feature or not. Why is EA so * bad to their customers?
Because he don’t know and can’t promise features other people decide over.
Origin has an offline mode and is still the stable release client, so nobody is forcing people that “fully paid” their games to anything.
I will stick with origin client for the time being. This ea (cr)app is not an upgrade anyway.
