None of my EA games bought in Steam works

This new app is so very nice. It prevents me from playing any of my Steam based EA games. The app only flashes briefly and that's it. Nothing helps. Either make it work, bury it or refund the games you've effectively stolen.

This is how it looks from my end, no matter what software (EA App, Steam) I use or if I try to launch from .exe

Blank EA App screen, then resets. Tried reinstalls, tried file verifications, tried admin modes on and off variably on everything, have updated all softwares & Windows

@TheWilian In that case you can try standard troubleshooting -- logging out, removing license folder (back it up first!), then logging in again.

Either that, or going back to Origin.

@STG_MordinI tried to go back to Origin, but it seems EA has removed and replaced it for everyone else but Mac users now.

@TheWilian I also get that blank popup every time but I get another one later and the game starts after a while.
  • Yeah I hate this, why do companies insist on making you sign up to some stupid thing when everyone just uses steam. Honestly I am so angry, I got Jedi Survivor and was so excited to play it today, but EA says NOPE. Cant link my account to steam because it was already linked somehow, I guess from when Origin was a thing and I don't have access to that Email anymore so essentially I bought their game and now they wont let me play it just because I cant link my steam account with their crap app. Such a trash service, and there is no help online, you can't contact them easily. Imagine buying a car and the key wont work till you link your WV account with the dealers account it would be unthinkable. Shame on you EA just let people play games without forcing them to make some * account with you. I want my god damn money back!

@063f8e18c411bd45 If you did not play the game and less than 14 days have passed since you purchased it on Steam you can request a refund.

That said, you can try reaching out to @EAHelp on Twitter via DM and ask them for help in recovering your old account.
  • Did you make sure the EA app isn't running in task manager? I recommend turning it off on startup. Not sure why they made it so invasive anyway... Anyway try completely closing it in your task manager first then try starting the game again through steam. Make sure your online since they decided to basically gimp offline play with steam EA games entirely...
