HI Guys,The new ea desktop is missing the option to remove games from your computer from the launcher it self.

@EA_Illium I was refering about the ablility to remove the game completely from a system. I had downloaded ffxv from the eadesktop but once I had finished the game. I wished to remove it from my system but the launcher did not have the option to remove/uninstall the game under the management tab of the launcher. I had to remove/uninstall the game from origin. I mean you can unistall using the control panel but as origin has the option to unintall/remove game I assumed ea desktop would have it as well but it was missing the option. Just wanted to give my feedback regarding this option.Thanks

Yep. I can't find a way to simply uninstall a game. How absolutely, incredibly stupid. Just....WOW.

@Illusionnist Thank you for the feedback, wanted to confirm are you thinking about having an uninstall button, or the ability to hide icons on your desktop or in the launch window?

@xSweffxyou can still uninstall it from inside windows, as it says beta, don't cry over features that aren't there, encourage them to implement it instead.EA Desktop also heavily depends on Origin so you can always uninstall the games thru Origin, at least the games installed and downloaded from Origin.Not sure if EAD installed games could be removed from Origin.Nonetheless, I do share your thought that it should exist and I'm sure of it that it will come in future releases.

So I made the mistake of linking my Xbox Gamepass to EA Play, it was super hidden and hard to do I guess for a reason. But now I downloaded Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) to see if the servers were up and they were not. Now I want to delete the game THAT I DOWNLOADED, and now I do not have permission to delete MY OWN GAMES. Is this a form of EA ransomware?

@zapy85 We should be able to cry if they are now forcing us to use their launcher and 5 month later this has still not been implemented.
If you're using the Xbox game pass x EA pass like me you have to use this BETA version in order to play EA games and not having an uninstall button yet is pretty bad imo.

@FoxLeCredule no one is forcing you to use EA Desktop, its a beta application, i have a hard time believing they would force their users over to a incomplete new launcher when the current one is working just fine for game passes.

Regardless if they do or dont you can still uninstall the games from windows that is the native way, EA and other have just made it a tad easier with the uninstall launcher inside their launchers.

but that's just common sense, and doesnt really give a solution on the fact that an EA app (although not surprising) doesn't have an uninstall feature.

@InsaneGamerTerryomg, just, learn how to use Windows instead, there is no standardization on how a launcher should work, its not even a launcher, its a distribution platform, a glorified downloader with a chat function.

EA Origin has your uninstall feature that you wish for, use that, heck, even i moved back to Origin as EA havent released or managed to sync their gaming-library over the two systems.

Crying over a uninstaller rather than being forced between two "launchers" to access your games, THAT is something to cry over.

I really don't know what has happened to EA Play either as it seems no development is being made on it, if they where true to it it would have been out of Alpha (as i called it) or even the official word Beta today, it shouldn't be that hard to write such a software when a game is fairly more complicated than EA Play is.

It just show the poor and lack of organization within EA Games that has been showing for the last 10-15 years, EA Play seemed like a fresh gust to the sails but its merely a breeze.
