Pop-up in Origin about EA app which can't be closed

Hi everyone. I have been playing Sims 3 through Origin for many years now, but today am having issues. When I open Origin I get a message pop up which says "The EA app is your new home for PC gaming....

Hey @punkerlishus going forward you will need to use the EA app to play your EA games.


Please follow the steps to install the EA app to continue playing.

Why don't you add the information that the EA app will force you to pay for a membership to being able to access the games you already own. 
This is pure EXTORTION! The absolute worst "customer service".

    TURN OF THAT EA APP ADS i really cant play and install your EA APP i dont use 64 bit windows! Understand it!!!!!
