Pop-up in Origin about EA app which can't be closed

Hi everyone. I have been playing Sims 3 through Origin for many years now, but today am having issues. When I open Origin I get a message pop up which says "The EA app is your new home for PC gaming....

Hey @punkerlishus going forward you will need to use the EA app to play your EA games.


Please follow the steps to install the EA app to continue playing.

@EA_Darko I dissagree. Origin has just become useable and now your killing it for your other * app. I never thought we would come to the day when I would miss Origin. It really is the end times.

You auto downloaded onto the ea launcher on my computer too, super scummy.

Tell me where all your good devs (respawn, dice, bioware) keep going, so I can go support those games instead.
