Pop-up in Origin about EA app which can't be closed

Hi everyone. I have been playing Sims 3 through Origin for many years now, but today am having issues. When I open Origin I get a message pop up which says "The EA app is your new home for PC gaming....

Same issue, with sims 4. I'm perfectly fine using ea app as it has no problems on my pc... except that I can't use mods/cc. And when I tried to switch back to origin it won't let me. Wish we could still use origin.
