Unable to launch EA app

I have not been able to access the EA app since it replaced Origin, every time I try to launch the app, or any game that relies on the app I get "Temporarily Lost Connection". I have done multiple restarts, fresh installs of the apps and games. This error persists while I play games by other publishers using their launchers without issue.
