I think most people would reasonably assume that you would require an internet connection to play online games while not requiring one to play offline. It should be made clear that you hold our games hostage behind this "requirement," (you've chosen to implement it, it's NOT a necessity) from the beginning.
I've bought this game every year since FIFA96. Unless I can access MY game at MY convenience, this is it. I'm out
