Is offline play deliberate fraud or false advertising?

Thanks for raising this — we understand your frustration, and I’d like to help clarify a few things.

Many EA games do support offline play after they've been properly installed and authenticated. However, the EA app itself does currently require an internet connection for the initial login and license verification. Once that’s done, some titles can be launched offline — but this depends on the specific game and how it handles DRM and save data.

One key point: for offline play to work as intended, the “Keep me signed in” checkbox on the EA app login screen must be checked during sign-in. Without that, the app won't store your credentials locally and won’t be able to launch in offline mode.

 It’s not our intention to mislead, and we do aim to reflect any necessary online access on game product pages.
