I am the owner of Norway's largest private website for The Sims news. My identity is not exactly very hidden. But ok. :-P

In the meantime, I have been in contact with SimGuruLaylaika, who is the "Nordic Integrated Communications Manager". And she is on the case. You most likely know who it is.

On the forums, we have to remove any potential player-sensitive data.

Regarding the EA app/The Sims 4; I am not aware of anything sadly. At the moment, it doesn't seem like it is possible to install the EA app in the Norwegian language, same as for a lot of other (smaller) languages like Dutch for example. However, I have escalated this here internally.

Regarding installing a game it another language; it has always been possible to install The Sims 4 (and all other games that support other languages other than English) in another language via the EA app, via the method that I mentioned above.

The problem is:

Yes... You can select Norwegian as the language for The Sims 4. But if you select Norwegian as the game language, the game will be instaled with english language. That's is the BIG issue we have here in Norway. 😅

I have prefered the EA-app in Norwegian too. But a Norwegian language for The Sims 4 is more important! 🧐

At the moment, the following languages are supported on Answers HQ:

•  Español 
•  Français

•  Português 
•  Jezyk polski 
•  Italian 
•  Nederlands

what about danish? it is frustrating for us too

EA needs to prioritize support for smaller languages too. They have supported Norwegian and other languages since the early 2000s, so why phase it out now?

Sure, there are clearly fewer people who use all the different languages, but that gives no reason to limit people to use the language they themselves want. As a customer, it feels like I am being overlooked when my language isn't supported. I know of people who have difficulties with English due to various reasons like Asperger's or Down syndrome, and they are also important customers for EA.

EA is always so good at including everyone, at least they say so...

The last response in this thread was in january, and we are now in july... I want to play sims in norwegian again...........

now is 2024, please is there any updates oon this situation?? I can't play my favorite game my SIMS4 just because of the language problem.

Hi, it's been more than a year since the last response. Is there any news? I was playing just fine in Danish until today when I had troubles with the app and reinstalled in. I am frustrated by the removal of my language.

This is hard to change language with installed?
