Agreed! It was a feature in Origin, it should be here too, it's been long enough. Clearly an easy update would fix it.

Honestly, I'm sure it's done on purpose, to force you to look at the home screen and see all the "stuff to buy". The problem with that is (as BLaZiNgSPEED said) it makes me decide to NOT use the EA app, so not only do I not see the adds anyway but  I also choose to purchase games elsewhere.
