EA app won't install as of recently, gives error inst-3-1920 at the end of the installation. Tried the following:- Running installer as Admin- Removed files in %TEMP%- Updated DirectX and MS Visual C++- Removed all old EA and Origin files in ProgramData, Program Files, and App Data.- Restarting PC after every steps above- Ran sfc- Check multiple videos and forums, no solution. Some claimed it was temp issue, but that was 2 YEARS AGO.Pls help.

Hi there. I'm a fellow Windows 7 enthusiast. It is the best of the latest Windows OS's. I also use it by choice as it's the latest one that will still play a lot of older games (of which I have many) without too many issues.Error Code INST-3-1920 is my issue too when installing the EA App. According to all available sources, this error is caused by the EABackgroundService not starting during installation. So far, I know of no way of FORCING it to run, and no way to get the file as a standalone file to run yourself.EA doesn't seem to really care if we can actually still PLAY the games we've PAID for! I knew the issue would be that they optimised it for Windows 10/11. Basically, if you cant afford to (or don't want to) upgrade to Windows 10/11, they don't care about us.ALL SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO USE THE EA APP, regardless of Operating System, otherwise they are restricting people from continuing to play games!This is not good business practice for you EA, and it will only cause you to have a great deal LESS customers in the future. Sort your bluddy App out EA, allow those of us on older systems to still access our stuff! There should not be a "Minimum System Requirement" to use your App to play games we PAID you for.

Hello, My EA App isn't working. I've already tried repairing the application through the Control Panel and also uninstalled it to download it again, but the installation doesn't complete and I get the error INST-3-1920. I'm using Windows 7. I'd like to know if the system requirements have been updated and if the application still supports this operating system. I know it's an old system, but I use it by preference. HelloSame problem here.What worked for me was:Unistall EA app,Registry Clean,deleting EA folders in ProgramFiles and ProgramData(you can keep the folder EAGames)Then restart and try again to install EA app

I get the exact same error. I've tried every solution you listed above, in addition to resetting Windows 11, installing with a newly created admin account, and booting into Safe Mode with Networking. None of the solutions work for me. Most of the times the install window is completely blank. I've tried disabling firewall and antivirus, which is terrible, given the exe requires a network connection to download the real software. It would be nice if they provided a full offline installation file. But it would be great if I could launch the games I already paid for with the software I used to purchase the game and launch the game (Steam). The EA App is completely unnecessary. I won't be purchasing anymore EA games, no matter how tempting it is.

I've tried everything I've seen online to get it to install even creating a new account on my pc and nothing has worked. I'm getting frustrated at this point

I used the Microsoft troubleshooter which you can download here: Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed - Microsoft Support this should work for most if not all of these EA app install problems. I believe the MSI installer is the main problem so M$ released this troubleshooter to fix the problems, you will find the EA App in the drop down menu in the troubleshooter. Hope this helps.

This has been called out a few times, sadly the main reason is different for each player as each PC is different. One thing we did notice is that when you install the EA App, if you manually create the install folder itself instead of the installer doing it, then install the EA App as admin to that folder as normal, it should work.

Summarize your bug I've tryied to play the sims, but this error popped up on screen. I've restarted the pc and reinstalled the launcher, but none of those worked.

I am getting the error code INST-3-1920
I have tried every solution.
1: repair/ uninstal all C++, didnt work.
2: check that the pc is up to spec, didnt work.
3: try a new instance of EA downloader, didnt work.
4. checked that the PC i updated, it is, but didnt work
please i need help, if you know hov to fix the error, please help
