Re: Battlefield 2042 not launching after switching to EA app (Steam & Epic)

I was having the same issue that launching battlefield 5 via steam results in ea app opening and closing and game not launching.

i removed the ea app and re installed origin app, and battlefield 5 launches perfectly every time.

when installing the origin thin client don't sign in as it errors, something to do with EA servers, just install it and then launch the game via steam and it will start fine.

once the game has launched you can open origin app like normal and it will already be signed in and all your games will be listed too.

This applies to windows 11, i seem to have no issues with windows 10 versions.
