Poking around the logs, I don't really see any thing wrong.

With Wireshark I can see a request for "/operationName:AcceptFriendInvitation" and a response with "/data/friendInvitationAccept/success:false".

I made a report. I am having the same issues and attempting to fix them in similar ways, all of which have been listed in the thread. I made the report and here is the Report ID: 927525f3-264d-4d7b-848a-86ff39b291df

my friends all got EA to be able to play Garden Warefare 2 together through steam. Ive been unable to play with them for multiple days because this bug or whatever and its extremely frustrating.Ive tried to find a work around like signing in through my browser but you cant get to a friends list through there. how does this even happen. does anyone know a work around to be able to add people?

as far as i know this is a new issue so i havent seen any workarounds anywhere

Thankyou for doing this. As of now (03/05/2024 At 9PM) The app does work properly for me and I can play games with my friends but my friends list has duplicated, so I have the same people as my friends, twice.

Me and a Friend just bought A Way Out on Steam since it was currently a sale (05-03-2024) we can't add eachother and have the same problem that everyone is describing. 
EA can not produce an well working app for games at all this is not the first time i've had problems with simillar things and the problem have been a thing since monday why is it not fixed?

how does EA f*ck up friend request system? I cant even add someone because it just glitches out and the person disappears from friend list. This is like the basics of a goddamn gaming app and the fact that this issue comes up in 2024 baffles me to extreme measures. EA please get yo shet together.

Logged in just so I could reply to this. I couldn't agree more. Absolutely insane that in 2024 a critical feature like this is broken. And based on the thread here it's been that way for days. Mind boggling and so incredibly frustrating.

Do we have a solution for this yet? I've got the same issue as OP. Totally broken and I just want to play the games I just bought with my friends...

I have the same issue. Bought BF2042 and was going to play with my son, but my friends list shows as empty and my friend request is stuck in his EA-app. Manually searching for his username in-game does give a result and an option to "add friend", but nothing happens after that.

Sane issue here, can't accept friend requests. Clicking the tick or the "x" on the App does nothing. 

We've found a small work around in the meantime so you can play BF2042 together. Go to Portal and browse servers you'd like to play, join the same server together and hopefully you can be in the same squad/side together. If you get split apart, one of you leave at the end of a round and re-join the same server when your team are lower on players than the other side. More likely to get on the same team that way. 

As long as you stay in the same server after every round you'll remain in the same side/squad. Hopefully they will fix the friends requests issue soon. 

Totally agree its so stupid. Useless EA
