I was able to uninstall EA for desktop and reinstall Origin. IMMEDIATELY started downloading my purchase. If you find this because you're having issues, get rid of the app and reinstall Origin. Search for the installer on your desktop as searching Origin online for me just goes back to EA for desktop.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH. I had bought a ton of packs and when they wouldn't download i was devasted. I would have never thought to reinstall Origin. Everything started downloading as soon as I opened Orgin. You're a life saver!
i've never had origin.... is there a link to an old version?
I want to add on to this as I have been searching for an answer for while. Since the EA app wont let you use the orgin app, the steps have changed a bit. I found a copy of the Origin app and downloaded it and logged in.
The pop up will come up to transfer to EA, but don't click anything. Let it do it's work in the background, till all the verification ends. You will see this in the bottom left of the corner. Then when all done since it wont let you use the app, you can click the update ea app. It worked for some but not all. At least the more important ones worked.

This worked perfectly for me, was able to find the correct version of Origin and the add ons I purchased started downloading after all! Thank you for discovering this!
how it could work on windows pc as originn just works in MAC pc??? is that possible?
