Re: Can't Purchase Several Game Packs

I've posted a question about how I can't purchase certain packs of the Sims4, and the community manager helped us to find out about that there's a restriction regionally influencing this issue.

(the original question: Can't Purchase Several Game Packs | EA Forums - 12444845 )

however, the reply only suggests why this happens, but not when will this get solved or what's the plan for the future. And my further consulting about the schedule of this issue hasn't been replied yet.

So I'm now opening another question to ask: 1)Does any one know that when will this restriction stop and the packs back on shelves for those restricted regions? 2)Whether they're off the shelves permanently or EA's working on this issue at least?

Thank you! This has everything to do with whether I'll invest more on this game or not.

I'm also waiting for someone from EA to answer these questions after their reply to your original post lol.

I really hope this issue is just temporary and there will be a solution to this. I also hope we can still update the game at least when new updates come soon. I'm from the UAE and I've been playing since 2017 with no issues at all so irdk why this regional restriction only happened now 😭

I totally get your concern as well.

I was planning to expand my DLCs since I've recently updated my computer and just to find out about this situation right when I was trying to buy from my wishlist.

I know there could be some way to bypass this issue, however, it just costs too much energy and effort to try it on the players' part, which is not even clear to us why does this happen. lol

I guess all we can do is to wait it out until someone explain to us the further doubts I've posted and many other players sharing

    Heya Peytondm_DM

I've gone ahead and merged your threads together as they were mostly on the same topic.

The reality of the situation is that we must abide by regional standards and practices when offering content for sale in that region. This means that for any number of reasons in certain geographical locales we cannot offer content that may depict certain lifestyles, content, or cultural practices.

So long as you're connecting to the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, the EA app, EPIC Games or wherever you play The Sims 4 from this region, you won't see some of our content for sale for legal reasons.

Thank you for your reply for further information

And due to the reason you share with us, I'm now suggesting that this restriction shall be permanent until the "standards" that limit the sale of several Sims4 Packs change, if I'm not misunderstanding.

And also, the most concerning issue is, does this influencing the further updating of our already bought packs in stock? Or maybe we have to wait until the update coming around and see?...
