Re: EA app Error "An update is required to launch this game..."

There's no way for me to even figure out if anything needs an update. You guys should have continued letting me use Origin because I never had a single issue with them. I have put far too much money into my games to be completely locked out of them. Fix this ASAP.

it wasnt working for me either and it kept saying i needed to update but then sims just turned on but it took maybe half an hour and it still says u need to update but see if that works

I have just bought the premium pass to bf1 in the summer sale and I have not even played one game because of this garbage, pls can this be fixed soon.

Will they ever fix this! I miss my sims, I am tired of coming here to check everyday if they've fixed it. I planned to enjoy my summer playing the sims 4 and I can't do that now. Please just fix the game please

Most defitetly not solved. Your chat just lied and said it was fixed when its not. Instead of faking just actually fix it.

Has anyone seen any relief with this issue?

Since this issue I was not able to launch TS4 for a few days, then a few days later I received the same error message, but the game launched with no problem once I clicked out of the error message (an update is required to launch this game) ...

Well... until this Saturday. Now I am back to square one. I have uninstalled the EA App, Uninstalled TS4, updated my driver, removed all Mods and CC and now the game wont load. 

In the in between I have also received another 102 error. I am at my wits end. I have been playing TS4 for 2 months without issue until the June update. 

Thank you for investigating this bug. Any ETA on when it will be resolved? I am experiencing it on the latest version of Windows, with Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Today I moved my entire Electronic Arts folder to my desktop and started the game. I renamed this folder "Electronic Arts OLD". Then I proceeded to start a new game. First, I have been adding my mods in 10 file increments. I have only had white screen with one world "Copperdale" of course. I deleted 5 files and the game appears to work properly each time.

It appears I have a long night ahead of me to figure out what Mods/CC is causing my problem, but it's a start.

I hope this can serve as relief for some of you. 

It has been over two weeks, do they play on fixing this problem??? I know a lot of people use EA as well so they might be fixing it little by little but it's been taking too long. I miss the sims

@EA_Leeuw Is there any update please? Weeks on and I still can't play the Sims 4. I've raised two EA Report Errors but had zero response/contact.
