Of course, whitelisting is also an option, if you are using anti-tracking apps.

I whitelisted sdk.split.io in my pfBlockerNG on my PfSense firewall.

It still didn't load the game library. 

So I fully disabled pfBlockerNG, and tried again. This time the EA app started without problems, showing my games etc.

Is there a chance we can get an official list of domains we have to whitelist for the EA app?

It seems like sdk.split.io is not the only used domain appearing on blocklists. 

Try updating the app to the latest v, see in attachment.

I have updated today and so far, 5 reboots, never turned VPN off, so far the Library is loaded correctly again.

Let's see if this version has fixed it, or if it is just luck I'm having now.

i agree that "I have no VPN or adblockers of any kind and im still having this issue we need a permeant fix and it shouldn't be on us to find ways around it". Please EA games solve that issue...

Thank you so much for this, I whitelisted the domain in AdGuard Home and it's now working fine again! 

Indeed, even this new version behaves like the previous ones. It was just luck, the other day, that during the startup of the EA App my VPN was most likely not up yet.

I found an older HQ Answers forum thread, dated 2023, where the same problem was discussed and where EA Community manager was pointing out to the AD Blockers and DNS filters...this issue is then not that recent as of last May.

I am afraid that EA does not consider it a "bug" to fix, because it is rather a design philosophy they introduced, on how to use certain tech like sdk.split.io and possibly other web sites, to manage their profiling of users, the deployment of new features first to a limited user group before full deployment...
