Apologies for the late reply, but let's try and find out why this is happening. Do you all have the issue that's displayed in this post?
Are you able to log into EA Desktop Beta or is it the login screen that's completely dark?
I'll also need some additional information from you to investigate this darkened screen:
- When did this start happening?
- Which build are you on?
- What troubleshooting have you already performed?

i've tryied everything but reinstallation of windows.. i don't want to reinstall it because a tool like this have to works fine

Happend since beginning (launch)
tried to uninstall and reinstall as a admin. launched it as admin. restarted everything. closed every firewall, virus prog and so on.
Reinstallation of Windows could not be the answer!
@EA_JasonExact same issues as reported for the last two weeks. The app will stay like the screenshot above and won't launch at all.
Have been using the beta for the last couple of months and no hardware or software changes on my PC besides maybe some Windows 10 updates. Can't check the build, have tried a clean reinstall following some official steps from this forum several times.

I have been experiencing this for about 2 to 3 weeks now, it worked fine in January, sometime in early February, was when I started to run into this issue. Like everyone else I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times but still cannot access the launcher.Hi, I have the same issue. Log in screen appears. If I enter the wrong password, it reacts and prompts that I should enter the correct one.
Once I enter the correct password, I get this empty screen. Tried everything, reinstalling, etc., didn't work.
Build is 12.0.56.4862.

Here is one that I've had for months now, with no fix. I get the login screen, I can login perfectly fine, but after logging in, and anytime after that when opening up EA Desktop, it starts to load, then just disappears. No icon on the taskbar, nothing. Go into Task Manager, and here it is, sitting in Background Processes doing absolutely nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, added it to my firewall and anti virus, ran it as an admin, purged every last known file for EA Desktop and reinstalled, and it always does the same thing:

I just installed EA Play, and in the meantime I uninstalled my Origin since I'm not playing with it for now.
After input my username and password, windows disappears, and nothing happens.
In Task Manager, EA Desktop and EA background service are both running as "background process".
I double click the EA Desktop icon again on desktop, "Connecting" window appears and disappears immediately, the window named "BETA" appears without any content, just black background.
I close the window and terminates the background processes in Task Manager, and double click the EA Desktop icon again, same happens, app didn't start.
It seems we can't enjoy Game Pass PC EA Play at day one, it seems.
I don't know which build I'm on, I downloaded from your website half hour ago.
And my Windows is Windows 10 20H2, I don't have any issues with other launcher or games.
Also, if this helps, these are the processes running, retrieved from task manager cmd column.
Exactly the same situation. Chatted with support they told me to make a new administrator account. Did that still doesn't work. Sucks because my EA play sub ends tonight and I already got Game Pass thinking it would carry over. Guess I'll just take a break from EA games until they sort this out
Ea fix this tool because due to origin i had the fifth disconnection today!!!!!!!
Same for me, i have had this problem for weeks, tried reinstalling it multiple times. Game pass ultimate is meant to launch tomorrow on PC through the EA desktop App. I don't know how these companies are expecting people to pay for their subscription to not even be able to launch the app.
Got the exact same issue as this. Disappointing that even after a 3 month delay for ea play on game pass pc they still can't get it right...

Mine won't load anymore either. I log in, then the app just disappears but is still sitting in the task manager like it has for others.
